They are a very good product.
It works very well. The only problem is that they don't hold up long before it goes bad. It's a cheap item but works well for a good while before it stops working and you need another one.

Inconsistent functioning and inadequate operating instructions
No instructions on how to adjust (using Scan and Reset buttons on headset) when unable to get signal from the TV. Can always get radio signal but cannot "find" the TV signal every other time head set is used. Although reasonably priced, it is not useful when it does not perform the desired function consistently - with no directions on how to troubleshoot if problem occurs. Quality of sound is good but only when it works.

Very poor......reception
I have ordered these headphone in the past and they have worked well. Not any more...at least the last ones just didn't work well at all. TV reception wouldn't come in.

this item is awful. it jumps from TV to Radio on its own nonstop.
I have owned lots of these headset and never one this bad. This is a waste of money. it's noisy with static it's just really bad. I would never recommend this to anyone. and never waste my money on this brand again.

Ok for the price and quality
It's okay for the price and quality but could be better as you can still hear some background noise if people are talking loud and near enough. Need adapter to have the "audio out" outlet part for TV to connect and it doesn't come with the wall adapter to power the tower, you have to use batteries that doesn't come with.

It works
I've gotten several of these cheap headphones that take batteries for my roommate who is deaf in one ear so he wants to turn the tv up and that isn't going to happen because I have super good hearing and can't stand the noise so i've always gotten these but sometimes they don't work so I had 2 of them hear so if one didn't work maybe the other one would until I found a pair on ebay that you don't need batteries for, you just put them on this charging arm at night and the sound is way better but for our purposes it was good for years to get these, a radio also is an option on these with a flip of a button and you can even go outside and you still hear the TV.

Great as Headphones
Pros: 1. Great reception even when I'm in other rooms and behind closed doors, away from the receiver (in a 1-bed apartment). 2. The sound quality is as good as any run-of-the-mill headphones (think Skullcandy). 3. It takes AAA batteries (none provided), but they seem to last a while. (I do make sure to turn off the unit and the headset when not in use). 4. The radio feature works well - I'm actually listening to the radio again! Cons: 1. The toggle switch on the receiver is small and cheap-ish, so you have to move it carefully or you blow past the setting you're trying to get. (Minor annoyance considering the value, and doesn't seem like it will break.) 2. The microphone feature kind of sucks. If you're looking for something mostly for gaming, I'd suggest a different product. 3. I have a newer t.v., and it doesn't have the proper connector to plug directly in. I have to plug the receiver into my computer (which I HDMI to my t.v. instead of cable, so this works for me). It's the same jack as the microphone on your computer - so make sure your t.v. has that, first. (The other cord is like the one used for speakers, and is equally useless for my t.v.) I tried literally every combination of plugging in on my t.v. possible and wasn't able to get it to work - so just be aware of that. Works great with the laptop/HDMI setup, though! All in all, these work great for me because I just want to watch Netflix and Hulu without bothering my neighbors (or hearing their competing t.v.). The radio feature is a nice plus. In a pinch, it could double as a receiver for an ill person or child, as suggested, but for a baby, I'd get a real monitor - the microphone quality is pretty subpar.
