Tecmate CarbMate TS-110 Carburetor/Fuel Injection Throttle Body Synchronizer

This made the carb syncing process super easy! Used to sync Bing Carburetors on a 1973 BMW R75/5. Final step after valve adjustment and tune up. The bike is running fantastic! Sync tool is easy to use and well worth the money. I should have purchased one of these years ago!

I used mercury gauges for a long time but gave away my tools when I sold my bike collection. But I recently got back into it and DIY my maintenance. I used these on a BMW airhead and man this is the best tool I've ever used for this kind of work. It's awesome. Way more accurate than the mercury bouncing around and very easy to use.

I used this to sync the carbs on my BMW oilhead motorcycle. You need to hook it up to a car or motorcycle battery to power it. I can't get to the negative terminal of my motorcycle without taking the fuel tank off though so I ended up parking my motorcycle next to my car so I could hook it up to my car battery. It worked. The terminal clamps that come with the CarbMate plug into the back of the unit via a DC female adapter. It would be nice if the company sold adapters or at least gave you a model number of one that would work with the unit so you could plug it into wall power if you wanted. The device itself was easy to use and seem to work well. My bike has less vibration at idle and at 3,000 rpm so it must be accurate.

So I like all the other bmw owners here must’ve watched the same YouTube video. I literally had my throttle bodies synced in minutes. It’s the easiest tool I’ve ever used and it worked perfectly.

I bought this to use with my BMW R1100 Boxer to balance throttlebodies, but you can use it for carbs also. It works great for 4cyl too, just do 1 and 2, then 1 and 3. etc Make sure your battery is charged or you will see odd stuff with the signal. Tecmate makes a bunch of good stuff. Bought this because the twinmax was dead, but seems they are being made again.

If you are buying this, you probably watched a video or something. It's exactly what is says and it works exactly as described. Used.it for my BMW R1100R to synch the two throttle bodies on the Boxer engine. Idles better. And it shows in synch at idle and at 3500 RPM, but off some between. And when I ride in those RPM ranges, I can feel it as well, so I think it's accurate. Not cheap for what it is, but I have two Boxer bikes I plan to keep so I saw it as a long term investment. One hour of shop prices saved will pay for it.

The unit failed after 1 and a half years of light use (only used it twice). The two times I used it, it worked as advertised. Now, I can no longer zero out the setting prior to using. The listed warranty period for the device is 2-years. I've sent several emails to Tecmate and have heard nothing. Voice calls are not allowed. Would not buy again and I do not recommend. Tecmate customer support is lacking to say the least. Will try Digi sync tool next; they seem to have a better reputation.

I bought a BMW R1100RT some time ago, ironed out the fuelling quirks and built the engine to Boxer Cup spec. Finishing touch was a really thorough throttle body balance. The Carbmate is a brilliant bit of kit. Not only got my bike running like an absolute peach but also alerted me to the fact I had a frayed crossover throttle cable that was sticky on overrun, thus averting a possibly dangerous riding condition. Super easy to use and intuitive. Love it and glad I made the investment.

Purchased for my 1983 R65 airhead. Makes syncing the carbs so easy. Replacing an old set of mercury carbstix, cumbersome to use. I usually stick to old world tools but this just makes sense, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

I've used three different vacuum guages before this, for tuning my R100GS. This is the easiest and most accurate. No guessing required. Light are clear and simple. Tune at lower resolution, then fine tine at higher. Perfect.
