BEST self tanner I've found so far!
Whenever I used to go to the tanning salon, the employee recommended this brand product and I also purchased the self tanner. Well, once I did that, I was able to cut out the prices of the tanning salon altogether and just use this product! Doe s an excellent job. Never had any issues with it being too dark or too light. No orange tint. This is a very highly recommended product that I've been using since 2020!! I wouldn't even want to try a different one now that I've found this!

Works as described...
I had melanoma surgery last year, so the days of me being outside all day and getting a dark natural tan are over. Instead, I am reduced to using self tanning creams and mousses (I am joking here). I have tried creams and liquids but think that mousses are the way to go. It's just easier to get even coverage than with creams and watery liquids. This one is pretty much unscented and I am fine with that. Some have a nasty smell once applied, this one doesn't. The results are pretty good - and look natural. Overall, I am a fan.

I thought I was going to love this but it’s too light
This (Versaspa in the shade Catalina) is a self tanning mousse that will work best on fair to light skin. It has violet undertones which is beautiful on olive and fair to light skin tones. I was actually trying to compare this to the Norvell rapid mousse because they both offer the violet undertones (to thwart or color correct orange hues). And Norvell Venetian is another violet undertone self tanner I’m comparing this to but those are darker & can suit more skin tones in my opinion (which I also purchased here on Amazon). I work in a tanning salon and we use the Norvell Venetian line in our spray booths (also for air brushing). Recently we introduced the versaspa Malibu formula to our spray booths (which has both warm & cool tones in it but it’s different than the Venetian - but customers really like both. But back to the Versaspa Catalina self tanning mousse - it also has the violet undertones but it’s such a very light shade it’s too difficult to compare them. That’s only because the depths of color are significantly different) & I imagine the undertones are too.But I’m seeing more & more brands incorporating a self tanner with cool browns & violet tones but I’m not seeing the violet tones incorporated into the deeper self tanning shades (except for Norvell - it’s a professional line which might be why - store brands haven’t caught up completely yet? Idk ). But I hope to see bcz those violet tones are so flattering & very good at color correcting or actually thwarting pesky orange tones! So for now, I’ll stick with the Norvell brand until Versaspa comes out with something like this Catalina formula but in a darker shade.I a say that this formula is quite nice. It’s not sticky, streaky & doesn’t reek of self tanner lol. So if you’re very fair, and simply want a light to medium finish, I’d def recommend Versaspa in the Catalina formula/shade. If you’re looking for something darker that offers the violet hues, try Norvell Venetian or Norvell Rapid (has cool brown and violet tones).

Best Tanner
I've been using this tanner for a couple of years and I love it. Easy to apply, no smell and a great color overall. Would recommend.

I love VersaSpa products!
I have been using VersaSpa products for years. I love, love, love their Intensifying Primer with Marine Algae and also their Hydrating Self-Tanning Water Mousse. This is the first time that I have tried Catalina Self-Tanning “Bronzing” Mousse and I love it too! Both this mousse and their water mousse go on really even and also dry really quickly. The big difference is this mousse give you an “instant” browning because the product it’s self is brown in color and what’s cool is the color is completely natural (from brown sea algae!). It isn’t a dark instant color, but a very nice, natural, light brown that evens out skin tone. It is a very unique product in that regard because a lot of “instant” bronzers make you really, really brown and it looks unnatural. This mousse also has dihydroxyacetone (DHA) and erythrulose which are very safe additives that will naturally brown the color of your skin over the period of a few hours. Erythrulose and DHA are very similar in composition, and both react much the same way on the skin surface. Erythrulose produces a lighter and slower-developing tan, taking 24 to 48 hours to complete development. When used alone, it fades faster than a DHA-based sunless tan. A lot of self-tanners only use DHA, but I like products that have both of these ingredients because you get the benefit of both so the tan looks a lot more natural than DHA alone. With this product you will want to wear rubber gloves to apply it. I just use disposable rubber gloves, so it’s super easy. I found out the hard way the first time when I did not wear gloves and the palms of my hands turned brown too. I was able to scrub them with soap and water on a washcloth and remove the color.I love VersaSpa products. They use really good, natural, effective ingredients. I love how the mousse products feel on my skin and makes me look so good! I even have used this on my face it is so good!

New to tanning and I love it
I'm pretty new to sunless tanning but after watching a few tiktoks I've really gotten into it. I exfoliated with a mitt and moisturized before putting it on and when I applied it I didn't think it was giving much color pay off and my skin felt slightly tacky when I was done. I washed my hands with a foaming hand soap and went to bed. Almost all of my bedding sets are beige or white and this didn't transfer onto anything, it stayed on my face and my body (yes I put fake tan on my face). The next morning I showered off and I had the best glowing tan I've gotten in a while. I have darker skin and I was afraid I would look a little orange but the color looks extremely natural like I've been at a resort outdoors all day long for two weeks. I'm really impressed with the color pay off and from what I can see it lasted a really long time.I'm a bath girl over a shower girl and I took at least 5 baths before I truly started to see the color fading so I'll definitely keep using this until it runs empty and I'll probably get another bottle when it's gone.
