I've used & tried many protein powders over the years. I'm one of those people with an extremely sensitive gut and haven't been able to digest more than 60% of the products that I've tried. The reason being all the additives, artificial sweeteners, sugars and other loads of artificially processed chemicals/products to enhance the taste or the nutrition value. To make matters worse, whey is being derived out of nutritionally enhanced & processed milk with use of GMOs and load of other garbage. What all this is doing to the health people is probably beyond the scope of this discussion. I'm a fairly experienced body-builder following a pretty strict diet regimen and lift weights 5 days a week. I don't believe in putting a bunch of chemicals in my body for muscle growth and have long term side-effects like ED, stomach issues, balding etc. I've been an off & on vegetarian too which called for a need for protein supplement. I've been using Biochem whey for about 2 years now and I go through about 2-3 cans every month. Here are some of the areas where this product stands out from others in its league: -Natural whey (when they say it, they mean it), free of any growth hormones -No added sugars & fat free, so no extra carbs which means you only get what you need -No artificial flavors, chemicals or any garbage that is not meant for ingestion by human body -Natural flavor (what I use) is almost tasteless, so it makes a great protein additive without altering the taste of the beverage in pretty much anything - smoothies, yogurt, milk, almond milk.. -One of the easily mixing protein powders that I've used Some of the downsides of the product: -People who are used to bottled protein supplements like muscle milk which is loaded with sugars and other stuff and associate those tastes/sugars with protein shakes may not like the taste on this one because it practically doesn't have a taste -Its one of the more expensive protein powders (per oz) Overall I'm very happy with the results I've gotten. There is no supplement that will replace a good balanced diet, healthy eating habits and nutrition from natural products like fruits, vegetables, poultry, fish etc. If you are looking to get bigger or repair your worked out muscles or just need a protein supplement (on top of your good balanced diet) to meet your daily protein intake, this is a great product!

I started using Biochem 100 percent Whey Protein while recovering from bone graft surgery. I had read that whey protein can be a good source of lactoferrin and that lactoferrin speeds bone healing, so I have been adding this to a smoothie or shake twice a day. An added benefit I did not expect is that the insomnia I have been struggling with for years has disappeared. Maybe that is related to why a glass of warm milk before bed is an old, old folk remedy for sleeplessness. I can't do the warm milk thing because I am lactose intolerant, but I do seem to be tolerating this brand of whey protein. I chose this particular brand because it is: * from grass fed cows * sugar free (Natural flavor) * mild tasting * non-GMO * free of artificial hormones * soy-free * 99 percent lactose-free * cold processed * processed without chemicals * processed in a way that retains lactoferrin * low-carb, with less than 1 gram of carbohydrate per serving * low cholesterol, with only 10 grams per serving (just 3 percent of the Daily Value) * just four ingredients, without a bunch of extra unpronounceable stuff Besides the pure whey protein isolate, the only other ingredients are natural french vanilla flavor, sunflower lecithin, and xanthan gum. I think the combination of sunflower lecithin and xanthan gum is what makes this product mix up so smoothly and not be lumpy or grainy. I usually either shake it up by hand in a bottle or smoothie shaker with a powdered smoothie or shake mix (sweetened with stevia), or I whirl it in the blender if I am including fresh fruit. In either case I usually just use water for the liquid to keep the carbs down. And keep the calories down, too. It's pretty filling, even though it is just a drink, so it is helping me maintain a healthy weight. The actual product is very high quality. The one thing I would change is the packaging, which is not readily recyclable. It comes in a cardboard can with a metallic paper lining, metal bottom, laminated metal/plastic pull-off inner seal, and an outer plastic resealable lid. I would prefer packaging that is 100 percent recyclable.

This is an honest product. All the other protein powders say "no sugar", only to be loaded with stevia, monk fruit, sucralose etc. Doesn't all that garbage defeat the purpose of what you are trying to accomplish? This mixes easily and is not flavored or sweetened-or neutral. If you need flavor-add to your blender with frozen fruit or a banana for sweetness. It is the only protein powder I have been using for the past 15 years or so.

I feel like this is all anyone should be looking for in a post-workout protein mix it's the only one i've found that isn't full of fake sugar or synthetic "enhancement" chemicals that some goon who put "Dr." in front of his name liberally tosses in and puts a massive markup on even though no one knows what any of that stuff does, it just looks good on the shiny foil sticker this powder is clean, simple, and has helped me get results...the powder is VERY fine so it mixes well, and i highly recommend this "Natural" flavor that has a pleasant faint sweetness...be careful if you find this stuff at the store to make sure it's the natural flavor, because the packaging on the super gross "vanilla" flavor looks exactly the same...might as well just buy it here since Amazon is the cheapest anyway
