Narrow design fits old boxes without creating shorts.
This has a narrow design that fits in older metal boxes. I tried cheaper outlets but they would cause shorts by being too close to the metal box. The wire connection screws are also much easier to manage that the standard types.

reliable outside GFIC
On our new home, the inspector required these to protect the outside outlets.

Fits old boxes. Use Greenies
The indoor, tamper resistant and weather resistant versions are the same physical size. So I'm going to post the same review for all. Photos are a mixture of the different versions and not necessarily representative of the product. See listing for actual. The slim design fits in the old, small metal boxes. Great for installing in an old house that was lacking GFCI. If feeding another outlet from the GFCI, it is a very tight fit to have 2 sets of wire in an old metal box (single size). I opted to replace the box with a new plastic one, since the garage was unfinished and easy to access. Might not be an option for everyone, so be aware when planning. At first I was a little frustrated that there is only room for a single ground wire to be connected to. Then I discovered Greenie wire nuts. Of course a pigtail works too, but takes up slightly more room and wire. While these GFCI are slim, they are still significantly larger than a standard outlet. Just what I've learned while installing these. I've only installed one weather resistant one so far (in a laundry room), but the green LED on it was far more dim than the indoor version. Seems backward, but maybe it was just a fluke. The tamper resistant versions works. When verifying with a multimeter after install, I had to insert both probes at the same time, otherwise the little flaps won't open. The price here on Amazon is significantly less than the local hardware store. Another win. So far, I'm very satisfied with these. I went ahead and put one in each outlet even in locations that I could have used a regular one fed from an upstream GFCI. Did this for extra peace of mind, and so there is never any question which outlets are protected. These come with instructions and stickers to label other outlets. That would be really handy for some situations. Personally I didn't want the look of the stickers in the house. Also, kids love stickers. The stickers might not have stayed in place. I plan to use them in the garage though. I like the clean white look, rather than the typical red and black buttons. The back of the outlet is labeled in English and Spanish. A wire strip gauge is also molded into the back. Really nice for the home handyman. One thing I really like about the weather resistant version better than the indoor is that the screws for the hot wire are black, and neutral are silver. Makes double checking your wiring easier. On the indoor ones, all screws are a brass color. Equipment Ground is green on both. I noticed that these require less bare wire than traditional outlets that you wrap the wire around the screw. This combined with the terminals being deeper into the box mean that you can usually cut off the old bent section of wire and strip a new clean section. Helps avoid breaking the wire due to bending fatigue. There's also a little brass clip thing on the front of the indoor ones that the WR don't have. It holds the bottom mounting screw in. Not sure what it is. Didn't affect my application so haven't looked it up. The load terminals are covered up with a warning label to help make sure the outlet gets installed correctly. Looks like Leviton thought of everything. Top notch quality product.

The green light gives me comfort knowing I installed it correctly
I purchased two of these GFCI outlets because I purchased Leviton devices in the past and trust their quality and installability. I recommend following the instructions given and not based on how the device was wired on the prior outlet. I did that the first time and it was incorrectly wired, but when the green light didn't come on and I was unable to reset it, I knew I had wired it incorrectly. The first outlet only had two wires to connect so fixing my mistake was pretty easy. The second outlet I had to connect had four wires and I thought I followed the directions correctly, but it turned out it had to switch the two white wires with each other as well as the two black wires with each other. The directions are correct, but you need to pay attention to how the outlet looks in the directions--it's upside down (as in the picture on Amazon), so everything needs to be reversed (though black is still on the correct side as well as white). I reversed them and the green light didn't come on at first, BUT, I reset the outlet and the green light came on. Since these are outlets in an outdoor patio, I added a waterproof outlet cover to match and protect it from any water or other debris. If I hadn't messed up, it would have taken about 10 minutes to install each outlet. Always make sure to turn off the electricity for the outlet at the electrical box.

Great replacement outlet
Quality device well suited for the outdoor application I required. Would recommend to anyone. When installing it if your using this for a series for other outlets be sure to pay attention to the input and load on the outlet. Don’t do what it did and have to pull the outlet back out and swap the wires to make it function correctly.

Excellent quality and price
I have used Leviton outlets many times and this GFCI lived up to my expectations of high quality at a competitive price. It was easy to install and works as advertised. Time to replace the outdoor plugs at my home and bring them up to the current electrical code requirements. This product is excellent with weather-resistant and tamper-resistant features (as my originals were not). Recommend a safety check of your outdoor outlets before putting out those Christmas lights.

Installation was straightforward. The instructions were detailed (maybe too detailed, if you already know what you are doing). Because of where I was installing the receptacle and the wire length available, I appreciated the new (to me) alternative of sliding the wire ends under a clamp and tightening rather than wrapping around a screw head. I've never been a fan of the "stab"connections, this seems much more secure. The outlet is working, I hope that it lasts as long as the one it replaces. To those complaining the outlet won't reset after installation, make sure that you have it wired correctly. They state explicitly that it will not activate until it is wired correctly. To those complaining that it is tripping regularly, check that what you are plugging in to it doesn't have a ground fault. That's what it is protecting against, after all.

El producto es de buena calidad, solo esperaba que viniera con la tapa como se ve en una de las fotos, no la trae físicamente, ahora tendré que comprar o buscar la tapadera.
