The USB C hub is a great accessory for people like myself who travel and need a SD card reader and additional inputs for headphones and USB devices. I like to edit digital photos while travelling with my iPad and this device allows me to do that and listen to music or video footage while transferring files from my cameras SD card.

The only way to go with easy connectivity and simple build design that’s compatible with multiple devices. Best bang for your buck with accessibility to many usb ports. And the charging capability is built in.

I got this in hopes of being able to use this on an 11 hour flight. I needed a physical headphone jack with external power to watch movies together. I also needed to simultaneously be able to connect a usb stick. Flawless. HDMI video worked as well but I only tried it briefly. I was able to use a short USB 4 cable to connect to my iPad while keeping the it in the case. I knew this would work on Airs and Pros, but I had little expectations of it working on a 10th gen. No problems. I can't speak to how much charge the iPad got from the passthrough but it was sufficient to maintain it at 95% the duration of the flight. Note: When using the USB cable, there was some background buzz when connected to my charging block when it was plugged into the seat 110v outlet. However, when plugged directly into the iPad, the noise disappeared. Since it wasn't designed to be used with a cable, I can't fault it.

It's Anker so overall, it's excellent! Don't buy it if you use a thick glass screen protector or if you use cases that cover iPad edges! This hub is designed to fit tightly with a naked iPad. I'm using the Apple Magic Keyboard (connected with a magnet only) which gives spaces to the front and side edges. It has a lip on one side wrapping the edge of the iPad tightly so there is not much room for a thick layer. Since it's USB-C, you can always turn the hub around so the lip can be on the back, but I doubt it's better since most everyone uses a case. The design looks premium and the color grey almost matches the Space Grey iPad. Though it's quite light, not made out of metal so it feels a bit cheap. All the ports work great for mobile use. The PD USB-C is for transfer or power supply. If you have a docking station at home and sometimes want to plug the iPad into your Desktop setup, you have to unplug the hub because the USB-C port won't work will monitors. I give it 4 stars because 1) it's perfect for my setup but not for most other iPad cases, and 2) I bought it on sale for 10 USD off but still bought new, yet they sent me an opened box with new tape on top of the one.

I've been having a hard time finding a good hub for the M2 iPad Pro 12.9" I have which has a glass screen protector and I use with a magic keyboard. I saw this and figured I'd give it a shot even though it shows it not being compatible with that combo. I was able to figure out a work around that will be helpful to people in my dilemma. Carefully peel back the rubber stick on bumper and cut it into two pieces which leaves a gap in the center like in my photo. This allows enough play to get it to snap over and onto the protector and keyboard and it fits snuggly! Love it! My recommendation to Anker is to include two different rubber bumper pieces, one thick for non protector users and one thin for those who do use one. I recommend the purchase with that mod.

Works great. I have an M1 Ipad and fits perfect however my gf has an M4 and due to how thin the ipad is, it fits a bit loose, still works but can easily fall out.

I’m not sure if it’s my M4 IPad Pro or the accessory, but the iPad doesn’t show things consistently connected which is annoying. I specifically bought to connect my work printer by USB, it recognizes it then it suddenly goes away.

I love Anker products and this one didn’t disappoint. Using with iPad Air M2 (2024)… the iPad is charging through the hub. External speaker is plugged in and it is getting its power through the hub’s USB port. And the external monitor is connected to the iPad… through the hub. Don’t need a laptop to watch movies.. etc. I will be getting another one for me because one I got is for my wife. I want one for myself. Hope this helps with making your mind to buy this thing… but please do your homework… and figure out what you need. I bought another (expensive one) which didn’t worked for me until I found this. For expanding the capabilities of an iPad, this is great. Thank you.
