Works perfect
EDIT: Make sure to use a USB 2.0 port when plugging in this adapter on PC. After some testing and reading some testimonials online, I found that using a USB 3.0 port will cause interference and result in lag and connection issues. Using USB 2.0, I stand by my following review.I've bought other bluetooth USB adapters in the past, but they never worked quite right for one reason or another (latency, connection issues, etc.). I decided to take the plunge on this one because it seems like 8bitdo is a pretty reputable brand and I was planning on using their DIY kits for retro controllers to connect to my PC, and I wanted to make sure I had maximum compatibility. After some brief testing, everything seems to work great. I've only tested the DS4 and Switch Pro controllers on my PC, but they connected without a hitch and worked perfectly in the games I tested them in (no latency, connection issues, etc.).I'd say if you are having latency issues, try testing the adapter on a Switch, as this is also supposed to work with that console. If it works fine there, something's going on with your PC. I've seen people recommend switching to High Performance mode under Power Options in the Control Panel. Even if that fails, 8bitdo offers a generous refund/replacement policy, so honestly, you can't really go wrong with this purchase.

This thing works great for what I needed it for
My Bluetooth dongle I had for my pc is horrible for video game controllers and I really wanted to use my 8bitdo pro 2 controller with my pc wirelessly so I got this during the Black Friday sale and I am very impressed with it. I don’t have lag or missed inputs like I did with my generic Bluetooth adapter. Also the dongle it’s self is synced to the controller not the OS so if you take from one machine and plug it into another it is still synced to that controller or for my use case I dual boot with Linux and windows and it works on both. The only downsides I see to this and it’s not even big ones are that it only works with one controller at a time and there is no Linux version of the firmware updating tool. Those are minor things though so doesn’t drop a star.

Works great to be able to use another system's controller with your Nintendo
My son uses his PS4 controller now as another Nintendo Switch remote. (He also uses it to get a controller on some of his PC games too). There is a very small lag for a few games, but overall it functions well. No lag seen at all with the new Kirby game. One disappointment is that it can only connect to one remote at a time. But I can see how that would make it much more complex -- taxing on both the adapter & maybe the data across the USB port. So, I'm content that it saves purchasing one more remote for other devices. The kids did have to watch a few youtube videos to figure out how to get the remotes connected.

Sweet
Was needed for me to pair my Dualsense (playstation5) controller to my switch lite.At first the latency was kinda eh but became non apparent. Games Feel the same as my PS5. They are NOT the same. Highly recommend. My only complaint is one of the usbc-usba were non working. Apon teardown I noticed it wasn't seated all the way (manufacturer error)I ordered 2 8bitdo adapters for the 2 switch lites I purchased. The adapters are working as advertised. The mount the 8bitdo is rubber banded to is for the PS5 controller. Check my previous reviews for details on that product.

Recommended. Great for Switch and PC.
There's not much else to mention as other reviews seemed to have covered everything but It works as advertised. I tested the adapter with the switch and PC using both a DS4 and Xbox One S controller and everything works. The DS4 even supports gyro controls for the Switch which works really well.Fair warning though as others have mentioned the adapter never sleeps at least when it's connected to the switch. It flashes a light periodically which can't be turned off. It's not super bright thankfully and can be ignored easily. Also make sure you update the firmware before doing anything else. The latest is 1.30 as of this review. It's really simple to do and it's just as easy to downgrade in case something goes wrong. You do need a computer though. If you're having issues pairing your Xbox controller you'll definitely want to do this.Oh and the pin is neat too.

Easy to pair with flawless performance
Bought this because one of the games I started playing on PC was a console port, so the controls were more suited for a controller. I already own a Switch and had a Pro Switch Controller, so I looked up to see if it was possible to use my Switch controller on a PC, and because of this device, it sure was. Bought it and began using it within minutes because all I had to do was plug in the 8Bitdo in my USB drive on my laptop, then I held down the sync button on my Switch controller, and then once it initiated detection mode, I just hit the small button on the Bitdo. The only thing extra that I had to do was go into my game settings and map the buttons from the game onto my Switch controller and calibrate the joysticks. Very simple and effective, so I highly recommend.

Works great on Nintendo Switch
Purchased this solely to use on the Nintendo Switch and it works great. Exactly what i was looking for. Bought from 8Bitdo Direct seller (i prefer to buy directly from amazon or the manufacturer so this is a plus) and mine came with the latest firmware already installed (1.28). Paired up with my DS4 on the first try and works flawlessly. This is a cheap alternative to buying a $60-$70 Nintendo Pro controller, especially if you already have a controller laying around. Brooch pin was a nice touch, will be adding that to my work bag.Be sure to hold down the button on the adapter while plugging it into your PC or it won't detect for the firmware update. To pair DS4 tap the sync button on the adapter and then hold the PS button + Share button for like 5 seconds until the light starts flashing white.
