The game itself is fun but it also feels like it is lacking something ...
Okay, I remember this game from back when it was on kickstarter. I wanted to back it because it looked interesting and I dug the artwork but I just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger on it. Well, fast forward to a few weeks ago and I actually found a copy of it at Barnes & Noble of all places. I picked it up was very impressed with the artwork. But....Does artwork make a game? Here is my over-all score of the game. 3 out of 5 stars. The game itself is fun but it also feels like it is lacking something at the same time. On your turn you can do one of several things and you can do any action multiple times.Move - You move your little balloon. You have two and you need two (typically) to find your friends in the dream state. You can exit a tile through a door. If the tile does not have a door pointing in the direction you want to go you can not go there. Now, when you move if you exit a door and enter a tile that has a door that matches up with it you get to continue your move at no additional cost. Once you end your movement by going through a door onto a tile without a matching door or you move your pawn off the board.Rotate Tile - You can rotate tiles to make the doors match up. Only doors that are empty or contain your pawn. You can not rotate a tile with an opposing players piece on it. This action is rarely used because it is only a 4x4 square grid of tiles and you can reach most everything you need on the border. I feel like they either need to do away with tile rotation or make it a 5x5 grid instead so there are tiles that aren't as easily accessible.Draw a friend card - Pretty self explanatory. There are four friends displayed and you may draw one of them or blindly from the top of the deck. These are how you score points and you must have seven played in order to trigger the end game. You can only hold four in your hand however.Replace available friends - Sweep the four, discard them, and put out four new ones. This comes in handy if there is a specific friend you need to score points with.Flip a tile - Have not played this yet since this is the "Advanced" game. Maybe my score would be higher if I had tried this out and really felt it improved the game. There is also a nightmare variant that blocks movement and tile rotation. Have not played this either. All in all I feel it is a decent game but it is lacking something. Like I said, maybe a 5x5 grid would improve it instead of the 4x4 one. I don't know.

Good game, amazing artwork
A fun game, we only played it in two people so far. The design is amazing and it in simple enough to be played 10 min out of the box. While playing it though a lot of strategy can be developed and it gets way way more interestingI would recommend it, the color palette used is great and the artwork very curated in every small detail

Beautiful as well as entertaining
Honestly I only bought this because my family loves Tara Mcpherson. But it was actually pretty fun. Didn't take too long to get a feel for the rules. It says 14 and up but my 8 year old daughter enjoys playing as well. Something different than most other board games.

More than just a pretty game
I mostly bought this because I thought it was gorgeous, and wasn't all that optimistic about gameplay. Was I wrong! It's very fun, fast-paced, complex enough to make it interesting, and great replayability. And it *is* gorgeous. All components are high quality and I'm just thrilled with my new game. :)
