It was very straightforward to install, although I do many home repairs myself. If there are other doorstops being used (like bumper style stops like mine had), this will require careful alignment of the screws to make "perfect" contact. I let the bumper stop take most of the hit and this magnetic stop hold it all in place. The magnetic catch makes a click when the door is in place.I will be ordering more of these. :)

These are great for the uses described. The quality of the parts is nice and the adhesive sticks well. I installed one on a sliding barn door and it works perfectly to keep it closed. The one caveat is that the magnets aren't as strong as I thought they'd be, but they are plenty strong to hold the door. It just won't pull the door closed or anything like that.

We have a large barn door in our house that leads to the master suite and our dogs and cats kept opening it, much to my annoyance. We searched and searched for a solution and then found this! Perfect! We bought the two pack and can add another one on top of the door if necessary, but so far this one at the bottom is effective. Very easy to mount, particularly into the wood trim and door. And it's unobtrusive, so as to not look like some crazy contraption. IN addition, we can open the door from either side as there is no latch or anything. I love an easy solution to a design problem. Great product and the magnet is strong enough to keep small dogs and cats from opening the door.

We have a barn door into our basement that we keep closed unless we have people over. One of our cats was smart enough to figure out how to open the door so she could go in and out of the basement when she wanted. After installing this she can no longer open the door. The magnet is strong enough to keep the door shut but doesn’t make it too hard to open for us. The stickers that came with it were not strong enough to hold it in place but the screws worked perfectly. It’s very sturdy.

The door stopper looks sleek and works well when it stays in place. The magnet is strong, and it does a good job of holding the door, but the adhesive on the base isn’t as reliable as I hoped. After a few days, it started coming loose, especially on smooth tile flooring. I had to use stronger adhesive to keep it secure. If you’re installing on an uneven or textured surface, you might need additional reinforcement. Overall, it’s a decent product, but the stickiness could be improved.

Simple solution, specially is the door is in front of a glass or mirror and need to be secured.

I have 3 barn doors in my home. I had hoped these would work well. But unfortunately they don't. The stickiness is not strong enough. The piece came off stuck to thw other piece. . And I don't want to drill holes in my door. And the magnetic isn't strong enough either. My cat could open the door while.the magnetic was closed. Great idea, but unfortunately we will be returning.
