I've had this installed in my garden pond for less than a week, so if things change I'll update this review. However, this is working exactly how I had hoped. I made a backyard pond a few months ago but pond plants were out of season, and I don't have power nearby. This caused my pond to turn anaerobic and a nasty bacteria turned the whole thing black. You couldn't see an inch deep. I needed a source of oxygen with solar power. Since I installed it 3 days ago, the black bacteria has already started to recede and visibility is about 4-5 inches deep now. I was concerned about how it would withstand the weather, as it's been rainy, but it is still pumping air after 2 days of rain. It did shut down for a day after not getting enough sun, but once the sun came back, so did the bubbles. Its very quiet, I can't hear a thing even when I'm standing right next to it. It's putting out plenty of air with the air stone about 1.5' deep and the solar panel 3' high off the ground. It's working great.

I used it for ice fishing to keep the hole from freezing over. Worked great. We fished for 5 hours and the battery was still strong. The solar panel appears to work well. I just ordered a second one and my Son ordered two.

Great device at a great price. Puts out enough bubbles to make my roots happy. As others have said, this will not last all night, but as soon as the sun hits it, the device goes back on. I don't need bubbles 24/7 so this works. If you need 24/7, I suggest adding some 18650 batteries to hold it over during the night.

UPDATE 5/11/21 I use this to supply air to the hydroponic plant on my window sill. It never charged the battery so I connected power thru the usb port. Eventually the started to act up then stopped altogether. Opening up the unit and using the model number on the motor I was able to order an exact replacement thru Amazon here: Gazechimp Durable DC 3-6V Aquarium Fish Tank Mini Mute Air Oxygen Pump Aquarium Tool. I removed and inspected the board and found out that negative pin on the board for the battery was not connected to any thing, so I added a jumper from it to the negative pin of the solar pin. Everything works as it should but I assume the pump, which lasted over a year, will give out again. A new pump cost $8.70, I'll probably buy one more then go into a different direction. One star. If I wanted a pump hooked up to a power supply I would bought one.

I tried liking it, but, it just doesnt work well. Battery life is minimal at best. Must use it with a powerbank.

I've been using this for a while. The bubbles are ok, not super strong, but it's decent. If you are looking for something quiet, this may fit that need. However, it's quiet because it's not very powerful. The battery life, on the other hand is pretty useless. I've tried charging, changing batteries, etc., but it doesn't really hold much of a charge. I ended up plugging it into a USB connector to keep it running since the solar panel doesn't seem to really do anything at this point. The solar panel worked ok at first, but is now inconsistent, at best. If you want something that charges all day, then runs all night, this will not meet that need.

I bought this pump 1 1/2 years ago as an emergency back up pump for my small outdoor pond when I lose electric. Today I had to use the pump again, it worked great. The pump is still in the pond for 12 hours now. It is winter and very cold the bubbles are keeping a hole in the ice. Perfect pump for a 125 gallon under ground pond.
