i didn't buy this belt for ammo, harmonicas or as costume, but for walking with weights to increase my bone density. i put rolls of coins in the pockets (they fit perfectly) and because the weight is distributed evenly front, side and back, it is very comfortable. i wash it and hang it to dry. no problems. i am glad to finally have found a workable option.

Fairly close M1 ammo belt replica. Canvas duck is heavy duty. The only issue I have is that the pocket snaps are hard to unsnap and snap.

Should you fill the pockets with enbloc clips and ammo, be prepared to wear this as a belt, as originally intended. It will be on the heavy side. The bandoleer is well made, and constructed of heavy canvas with a sturdy metal clasp. It should last you a good long while.

I bought this for a Halloween costume. I filled it with disposable razors and mini shaving cream canisters and trotted around as "Shaving Private Ryan" - It worked pretty well for that but I can't speak to its practical uses.

As a collector of US World War II soldier's equipment, I found this item to be quite adequate in terms of appearance, texture, and functionality. From a few feet away the items appearance is quite remarkable and could pass for the real thing. Up close anyone with any knowledge of US soldier's equipment can tell this is a: "knock off" and would never pass for genuine, Over the years the real one I had got "lost". This is a good imitation.
