Good mystery
Intriguing all the way through. Fun to think about the cause and effect quandary, like which came first; the chicken or the egg, though most of us know it was the egg. After many generations of evolution in an egg laying species; one day a new hatchling stepped out and someone said "hey - that looks like a chicken" I did really enjoy this book; to me it's one of the author's best and I would highly recommend to anyone who loves technical mysteries. My thanks for the enjoyment.

A complex time travel story that entertains from beginning to the end.
I don't think I have ever read a book with more plot twists and unexpected turns as Lost in Time. Extremely well crafted story of a very complex subject, time travel. I lost some sleep reading this book. The mark of a great story to me is when, during the day that I am preoccupied with something and a thought hits me that I can't wait to get back to my book. This one fit that bill. Be ready to reread some parts, scratch your head a bit, and think "what the heck does this have to do with the story?" But Riddle cleverly brings it all together. Best book I have read this year.

Gives A Whole New Meaning To "Help Yourself"!
There were parts here where I had to re-read a bit to keep track of where I was in the story because of the devious twists and quirks throughout this story! There were more than a few, "Wait - - what?" 's in here. Mr. Riddle took a sci-fi concept and weaved it into a fantastical thriller that blew my mind. It brought time travel into a whole new realm. The characters were rich and nuanced, feeling very much like people we all know, that we are intimately familiar with. But, oh, my! The story layers that came together to create the Absolute world kept the story real, enticing and drawing in the reader. I found myself fully invested in learning the truth, no matter what might come for the cast and story. I'm not a big OMG kind of person but I did get the chills several times when things came together. Am waiting for another one of these to come along soon!

Great book with minimal problems that were easy to overlook.
Unfortunately, I can't say that I've read everything that Gerry Riddle has written, but I've loved everything of his that I have read. This book is no exception. Of course there are a couple minor problems, as seems to be the case in any book I pick up, but this one has fewer than most. For some reason some of the chapters begin with the first letter separated by a space from the rest of the first word. Besides being weird that some chapters begin that way, and some don't, this bad editing caused a couple of other weirdnesses. The one I recall from the top of my head is that the word Atop was intended, but what was written was A top, which has a totally different meaning. The only other problem I saw was someone called the main character by a name they were no longer using, and it should not have even been known by anyone, much less by the person who called them. Like I said these problems were minimal and easy to overlook.

Just... blown away.
Let me just begin by telling you that I am a *MASSIVE* A.G. Riddle fan- like the hugest. I re-read The Atlantis series every fall. His writing was a much needed reprieve from real life when my mom was dying of breast cancer in 2018 & I was her primary caregiver. With that bias clearly stated, I didn't love the Glass Dessert storyline; I just never felt that magic that his stories invoke & it felt a little rushed at the end.But this book? This book was absolutely incredible. It's so intricate & delightfully complex that I wouldn't even know how to write a decent synopsis style review. So, in lieu of something you could get from the book summary anyway, I'll share what I loved about it:You will never, ever be able to fully predict the plot & in this case, that's a good thing. The characters, of which there are a potentially concerning amount of, all become such well rounded, fleshed out people (which is remarkable given this isn't a terribly long book) and the ending surpassed all my expectations.Just do yourself a favor & commit to the 50% mark. You'll being to get frustrated, you'll possibly even grow irritated but I promise that if you tough it out, you will be rewarded.Absolutely enthralling & a stark reminder about why this author is among my very favorite fiction writers.

Amazing, suspenseful, keeps you guessing.
Riddle does it again. The book is full of suspense and keeps you second guessing. I couldn't put it down. The only complaint is it was so good I couldn't put it down. Then I finished it and really wanted to read it again. If he ever gives movie rights to his books, this would be a prime candidate. That said all his books should be made into movies. They're just that good. I would love to meet him at a book signing and see where he gets all his ideas from. Highly recommend reading this one.

Phenomenal!
Lost in time is how I felt as I waited through every excruciating second, minute, hour and day for this book to finally drop! And well worth the wait it was!Like the Solar War series, this page-turning, time-traveling whodunit had me from the page 1. Only the ingenious mind of A.G. Riddle could conceive of such a masterfully woven plot.I've read time-traveling books in the past' but I can't remember ever coming close to anything as mind-blowing as this.If you're looking for a very entertaining science fiction read that will keep you up all night, then this is the book for you.Loved it, Gerry, can't wait for the next one!

yet another Riddle success!
A.G. Riddle has done it again with a masterful twist on the time machIne genre. He manages to help you understand the basics and keep an interesting plot line going at the same time, while laying the foundation for thought provoking paradoxes. It’s really a sci-if ‘whodunit’ that finally does make sense at the end and even seems possible! It’s just a matter of time until it really happens…

An excellent Sci-Fi thriller
The book opens with a murder mystery as Sam Anderson and his teenage daughter, Adeline, are the last people to see the victim alive. The CCTV shows that nobody else visited the scene after they left. Yet neither committed the crime. So, who is the murderer? What follows is a mixture of time travel and whodunnit genres with some huge twists to throw the reader off track.Yes, there were a few unlikely contrivances to move the plot along, but overall this was an excellent thriller that cements Mr Riddle as one of the foremost Sci-Fi authors around.

Unique
Loved it. If I hadn't been such a Star Trek nerd I would have gotten as lost in time as some of the characters but, fortunately I managed to keep up with the story after eventually coming out of hospital and charging my Kindle. Anyway, as usual Gerry kept me awake all night and I was extremely bleary eyed by the time I got to the really exciting bit near the end. Nuff said without spoilers. Highly recommended as all of his books are. Will now be twiddling my thumbs waiting for another rollercoaster of a read!

Intriguing!
Great story, well written as always from Mr Riddle. Characters you invest in and follow to the end. This story takes so many twists and turns your head will wobble but it gathers pace and steam until the conclusion which leaves me with hope there will be a sequel. I hate leaving a story and it's characters with and ending that screams for more please!

Wow! by far the best time travel book I've ever read. Congratulations to the author for a very cleverly thought out book and all the research that must have gone into it also very difficult book to put down! Other than that there is a lot of truth in the saying 'you cant change the past but you can build a better future' Abdsolutey Brilliant!
