Great XMAS Gift for My Gardener
3 lbs. is the perfect size for this hammer. 4 lbs. would have been very wearing on the wrist. 2 lbs. felt just a little heavier than a regular full-sized hammer. My gardener absolutely loved it. Nicely made. Highly recommend.

Made in USA
Very nice hammer. Does it's job perfectly. Always happy to purchase tools made in the USA. Love the longer handle this has as compared with other estwing products.

Nice to see an American made product well made and reasonably priced
Definitely well made with sturdy handle being one piece with hammer head. Price not much more than the cheaply made ones from unknown companies who are impossible to reach to resolve problems. Used it every day all day for a week splitting big logs using only the hammer, an all-metal hatchet made by the same company and also made in the U.S. along with a couple of wedges. Split everything from old oak to fresh hardwoods that don't like being split. So far, all three Estwing tools I bought are great including the mallet, the hatchet and a claw hammer purchased last year. They make quality tools. Don't buy hammers or mallets with wood handles unless you always have perfect aim. I am 76 and out of shape with an aim that isn't always the best so sometimes the handle hits before the head of the tool. Wood ones will break at that stress point or become loose. Not with the one piece steel Estwing! Quality in tools is always less expensive in the long run.

My favorite little sledge.
Just small enough to fit, just enough weight to hit! Contruction worker must-have if you set anchors or anything similar. Really kinda must-have, but people are slackers. Good solid hammers, good head shape, all metal...this is the one. Get them all, good for the machine shop too. Little heavy in the pouch, but you got a stiff bag, right?

Thors hammer
Real life thors hammer . Brake rotor busting , thunder hammer . Hammer Feels top heavy during show and tell sessions. But swings , and hits, balanced and hard hitting with little handle shock .

The best
This is my 5th Estwing hammer that I own presently. I’ve owned others throughout the years that have “disappeared” because others value them as much as I do. Nowadays I work out of my shop so the tools stay in-house. This 3lb drilling/sledge is no exception to the outstanding quality I expect from Estwing. I put the protractor on the face of this and it’s squared right up at 90 degrees, unlike other reviews mention. The handle feels nice, with good grip, and USA etched in the grip. The overall look of the sledge is impressive. It’s a quality tool at a great price. Tools that will last forever from Estwing.

The most durable hammer you can buy.
If youre a welder, this is the one you want. You will not brake this hammer. It has the perfect handle length and weight to really smash some things and the build quality is second to none. You could probably hand it down to your kids when you retire.

Extreme Quality!
I prefer Estwing striking tools for their quality and the safety. I buy them for my children as well. You can't go wrong with these tools.
