T Tinxy Device Tinxy 10 Amps Smart Switch Retrofit Smart Switch For Home Automation, Works With Existing Switches. Compatible With Alexa And Google Home

I bought this switch a few months back for the first time as a substitute for WiFi controlled LED bulbs. The bulbs were v unreliable - frequently going offline while remaining ON, unreliable scheduling and completely stop working after few months. I first installed Tinxy using the straight-forward method, but found response times were lagging. So I reset the switch and reinstalled using Method 2 (Tinxy Hotspot). The device started working like a charm. Response times were near instantaneous even while switching from several hundred kilometres away ! And absolutely zero offline times. Whenever power goes off and comes back, the device comes online without any hitch. The icing on the cake is the feature that no wifi bulb can offer - the ability to use the switch both manually as well as remotely with absolutely no change. Wifi bulbs require the switch to be always ON, so I would tape the switch in the ON position to prevent someone from switching it off by mistake. Now nothing needs to be done. Whatever the state of the switch, all scheduled events will work. A great improvement indeed. I have so far bought 3 switches and am ordering 3 more to replace all my wifi bulbs. I only hope the the switch will last for a long long time, considering that it is not cheaper than wifi bulbs. Installation may be a bit tricky for those who are not v comfortable with DIY technical things. An electrician can easily install the switch for Rs 100. Settng up can also be a little tricky, but if you follow the steps correctly, it will be a breeze. Overall a great product.

Works fine if it does work. I received a Faulty one, but they sent a replacement which is working fine for more than 2 weeks now.

Working as expected. I had wipro smart plug but is not working with joi airfiber router. No issue post installation. Easy reconnect after power or wifi outage. Just install and forget. THIS ONE WORKS WITH JIO ROUTER!!!!! BRAVO TEAM TINXY Update: Ordered 3 more. Excellent mobile app offline features and team support. DIY installation is possible. Just turn off mai switches/MCB before proceeding and ensure that your connections match the wiring diagram.

I have been user of Tinxy Products for more than 3 years now. The products are easy to install (with help of Electricians) and easy to setup via mobile app. At any point of time during installation, the customer care unit promtly answers all your queries and solves the issue. Its a kind of install & forget approach where you never have to open your switch board for reset or any other issues. Timely firmware update feature is a welcome functionality. Overall this wifi switches work great with Alexa/Google and they are highly recommended for smart home automation.

3.5 years: Not reliable anymore. Replaced with SonOff device Edit after 3 years: It is still a very good device hardware. Sometimes may need to switch off mains at home to restart it (in case it doesn't respond) The device is tiny (two finger volume). I connected it to my fan and it works brilliantly. I set my AC to turn off at some point in the night and shedule the fan so that when AC turns off, fan turns on. Comfy sleep thanks to this device. It restores state on power cut. Manual switch trigger is amazing feature. I just stuffed it behind the switch box so people don't even know it exists

Iam second time used satisfied no issues

Brought it in May 2023 for smart switch solution for ceiling fan. Device stopped working in April 2025. It was good while it worked . Customer care was supportive during installation and later when I changed my wifi . However 2 years is too less a time frame for device to go bad - especially since it involves minor rewiring behind the board . Not sure if all smart switches are like that. For now I will go for older hard wired bed switches .
