Should have measured before I bought this is slightly thinner than my buckle, but it still fits and still functions so I'm happy. Good quality and no issues with the ratchet system.

When the description says "genuine leather", it means the material inside is the rough side of split animal hide, but the exposed surface is coated with some kind of smooth plastic (vinyl or urethane) to make it look like top grain leather. The description "genuine leather" is technically accurate, but I see it as an attempt to deceive consumers They lost one star for dishonesty alone. I ordered just the belt strap since I already had a buckle from a similar belt. I was replacing the strap because the plastic on the "genuine leather" predecessor was cracking and peeling. What I received included a buckle too, so that was a surprise. I don't know if that was a mistake, or a substitution due to what was available to ship. This belt itself is very stiff, even after wearing it daily for two weeks. That doesn't affect comfort. It just isn't as supple as people would expect from a real belt. I can't speak to durability yet, but at this price I'd still be happy if I had to buy another faux leather strap every year. The reason I choose this brand over others is because the toothed track starts just 2-1/2 inches from the end of the belt. The track is 9 inches long, so there's lots of adjustment left even after trimming the fixed end. The belt it replaced would leave 6 inches protruding from the buckle at the first click. That flagging end was annoying.

Needed to replace a strap for a belt and this worked out perfectly and was as described. Not sure how long it will last but for the price it is great.

This is a Prefect replacement for the old belt. I recommend it for anyone who needs just the belt replaced.
