Sorry about my previous review, firecore did respond to my email to resend the bubble level that was accidentally left out of my order. Firecore agreed to send me the missing bubble level after I provided my address. Very happy with the quality of the grade rod and the costumer service from Firecore. I'm on their company's shopping list for future products they offer and I for sure will be looking should I need any other tools they may offer. Very happy outcome! Just a little mix up! No big deal! I am very pleased with this tool. I am not a professional land surveyor, so this grade rod is ideal for the kind of work that I do. Even though it is low cost, it appears to be good quality. It telescopes smoothly, and the markings are easy to read. It collapses to a length that is easy to transport, and its storage bag makes it easy to carry. The rod is make of aluminum, so it is light weight but durable. It came with a level, but I don't know exactly how it is intended to be used. I just held it in place at the top of the rod in order to get it as plumb as possible, but that might not be the ideal way to use it. I didn't see any instructions about using the level, but other than that minor issue I like the kit a lot.

It's got large easy to see numbers. One side is yellow, the other silver. It's nice having Duel colors, sometimes the lighting works better with one over the other. It's sturdy, well built and not sloppy when extended. Package should be heavily taped at the ends, my first one arrived open and the spirit level was missing, so I sent it back for replacement. Second one arrived in tact, but barely. The flimsy tape had torn on one side and partially on the other, but the spirit level was still inside.

Looks like a good pole.: slides will, crisp locking, clear numbers, great to have the bubble. Cover feels a bit flimsy and unlikely to last, but overall a very nice product

False advertising. The product description says one side has feet/eighths graduations and the other side has feet/inch. Not so. The yellow side shows feet/inch with 1/4” graduations and the white side shows feet/tenths. Otherwise it seems like a sturdy grade rod. In my line of work I have no use for feet/tenths graduations so I wish they would make a rod with feet/inch graduations on front and back. I thought I found one here and was disappointed.

Good pole for DIY or semi-pro use. Bright clear markings with decimal feet on white for surveying and feet/inch on yellow for general use. Much easier than using your tape measure when using a laser receiver, although its weight (2-1/4 lbs) may shift some objects you are checking. Laser lines show up well on the surfaces. Aluminum sections are finished well, seem like sturdy quality and the extension latch buttons are crisp and smooth. A slim four feet long in its case with a shoulder strap. The included bubble level slips into a slot at the top of the lowest pole section and has three small screws for zeroing the bubble. That is important if you're going to use it-- my bubble came loose and inaccurate. A little piece of tape on the bracket keeps it steady and secure and there is a little velcro pocket on the case if you're not going to use it. It's really only necessary when your working on a slope where plumb is hard to judge.

Finally, my husband can dig deep excavations and have a laser mast for such depths. I recommend it.
