Bestar Pur Queen Murphy Bed and 2 Shelving Units with Drawers, 115-inch Space-Saving Sleeping Arrangement in Bark Grey

We are very happy with this Murphy bed. It is very well built and looks great. Only issue we had is that a part for the drawers was bent. And there doesn’t seem to be any sense of urgency in getting us the part. It has been 2 weeks and when they finally sent us the part it was sent regular ground last week with an ETA to arrive on Thursday. So we cannot complete putting the shelf portion with the drawers until it arrives. A little disappointed in that portion of this purchase but otherwise very impressed with the quality and look of it.

This is a really fantastic piece of permanent/installation storage & furniture. Extremely pleased with the quality and look of the final product. The value is fair and the specs are as advertised. My only gripe is the difficulty/ length of installation and build time. It took me 8 hours to build and install this to the wall. 12 boxes containing 1300 lbs of materials is nothing to scoff at. And that’s for someone who regularly builds projects. Disposing of the packaging alone took another 90 minutes. If you are not prepared to spend 10+ hours on the hauling, assembly, and preparation for this murphy bed combo- or pay $500+ for quality installation… I would rethink this.

when we got it, the dimensions were incorrect in the product description (quoted 70"). this unit as is is 80" tall. I was able to fix it by customizing the side cabines and trim them down. the center piece where the bed is i had to customize slightly as well as it has a top trip that you can rip down to flush saving you about 2-4". assembly is a day worth project if done by yourself but definitely doable. one thing to note is where i had a struggle was with the bed frame spring. this mounts between a metal frame that is between the cabinets and the bed spring that you pull out. these springs, rightfully so are TOUGH and you really have to secure the metal frame that attaches to the other side of the spring to the flooring or wall. I had "luck" that i could tapcon screw it in the concrete floor. drywall/stud anchoring it i ripped half the stuff away to the wall... didn't work for me.

In general, the finished product is decent; however, the instructions left a lot to be desired even for an engineer and an accountant! Furthermore, several pieces in the 10 boxes arrived damaged. Ultimately, rather than mess with returning 800 lbs of material, we made the unit work.

This is not a one day project. Solo installation is doable for most of it. There is a point where, (towards the end) you absolutely need someone to hold the weight of the frame down. Don't fret, the weight of the facia and mattress holds it down when completed. Pay very close attention to instructions! They are small and sometimes abscure and hard to articulate. Take your time and make sure you have plenty of space to assemble the parts. More than happy with this. It's beautiful in our guest room! Actually from Canada...not China! What???

I really liked the fit and finish of this item! Easy to assemble but does take a little bit of time. What I did to enhance the Murphy bed is I modified the shelving. I took a quarter inch off of each Shelves and applied an aluminum channel to the front to add a little pizzazz! I used Randall aluminum channel M4038. This is 6 foot long with a three-quarter inch channel. Check out the pictures.

Nice piece. Very complicated build. Missing pieces to the side cabinets which I had to reorder. Customer service was very accommodating. but having to wait a week for the parts leaves my bedroom in shambles for at least another week.

I got the queen, it’s beautiful and I really like it! It does take 2 people for assembly on certain steps. I did most of it by myself but it was time consuming. The drawers are not PERFECTLY aligned, but it’s a kit what can I say. Only thing I wish it had was covers for the Murphy bed spring assembly. I always worry my guests are gonna it their head or arms on them.
