What battery voltage is required for this? The size is 18650, but there are multiple batteries on the market with different voltages in that size.

All 18650 batteries are 3.7 V ... the variance is the Amperes ... thus how long the battery will last. A higher capacity (mAh - milli Amp hours) battery will determine how long you can run off the battery. You choose based on money and purpose. More capacity adds weight usually (it should always technically). I generally go for more capacity, but thats me :)
