This machine is worth every penny. Large, same size ice in only a few minutes. Doesn’t use loads of water like some do. Comes with bags to put the ice into you freezer.

We’d been used to a fridge that had a built in ice maker so when we moved to a new rental that didn’t, we thought this was a better option than filling ice trays. Overall this seems an excellent unit but in practise it’s not quite the same. Pros: makes a small batch of ice cubes within 6 minutes and within half hour you have plenty to make a good round of drinks. Perfect if you are entertaining. Cons: it will keep cubes frozen while the unit is on but after a time the ice cubes stick together badly. Likewise if you try to transfer the made cubes into the freezer. They are a bit too small and wet to stay separate. When you turn it off, the cubes thaw and the water returns to the tank to be recycled, but they recommend that you don’t leave water in the tank for hygiene reasons so you need to move the unit to a sink to empty it using the little plug underneath - a bit fiddly. Conclusion: can’t fault the unit - it does exactly what it is supposed to, and will be incredibly useful at times, but overall it is not quite a replacement for a built-in ice maker and we’ve found ourselves filling the odd ice tray to have a back up supply of big ice cubes in the freezer.

I used this machine consistently over three days, unfortunately the problems I experienced did not change or improve.The ice cube tray/basket is not chilled so the ice cubes, which are already quite small, start to melt instantly. Transferring them into the bags provided doesn’t help as by the time you’ve waited for it to be worth it they stick together and form one solid block in the freezer.The device itself is very loud, it vibrated the kitchen work surfaces I put it on no matter where it was placed.

I’ve had 3 different ice machines over the years and this is the best. Smaller, quieter and quicker. I leave it on for days at a time sometimes and it just happpiky gets on with making ice
