Is this 12tb drive (‎st12000vn0008) suitable for use in a synology ds923+ ?

Hello, yes, I think these are the right drives for a multi-drive NAS, it's what they're specifically designed for. They're a little noiseier than a standard drive, but much more reliable, and optimised for reading and writing large amounts of data reliably., at a good speed. I bought two about a year ago for use in a multi-drive-USB enclosure, and as a desktop data drive in a tower case. They have been trouble-free and reliable.

What does 'Used, like new' actually mean. Has the drive been used for data storage already, or is this simply an open box item?

I Have a DS220+ but I have two 4TB IronWolf drives, they work perfectly, I cannot see why the NAS HDD 3.5"IronWolf Pro 16TB 7.2K SATA would not work just as well, as the i believe max TB is 32TB i wouldn't mind two of these, I wish I could afford them
