I knew the mouse was not my thing.
I got this for the keyboard. My scroll wheel gives me carpal tunnel so I needed an alt. Theys keys are a bit big in the center, but I love the stand it comes with. The keyboard works fantastic! The mouse... not so much.... it functions fine, but its ergonomics are more for a kid, and I don't have manly hands. So I bought the Zelotes instead. I needed a true vertical for these following reasons:-Needed a mouse that would take the strain off my tendons.- Wanted comfort.- Lots of surface area. The Perixx fails in those areas. With this mouse my wrist rests completely on the bone. Might be fine for a mousepad but I use a laptop and often use flat surfaces. Very uncomfy. My hand swallows the mouse. In the pics you can see my fingers come off the edge, which makes me have to curl my fingers to get good purchase. The other thing, is that if I dont curl my fingers, they drag on the tracking surface with adds more strain for my use. It'll make for a decent backup if my new one kicks the bucket, but I wont be using it otherwise. The other thing is that of all the gaming mice ive had, the light on this is the brighest ive ever had. It literally hurts my eyes when its reflecting off a surface. Best to keep this in mind if you are going for the mouse. The material its made of is slippery too, not grippy like the others in my photos. It feels kind of like velvet. It would suck for gaming. But it might be good for kids or more delicate hands.Get a real vertical mouse and not this 45 degree angle one if you are really in it for the comfort. This isn't what you may think.

Poor quality, keys stick after only a few months
At first the keyboard is great. The price, the vertical mouse. However after 6 months, the keys start to stick. This keyboard is -NOT- good for gaming. Light, casual use is probably fine. Would not buy again

Alt codes do not work; not as 'ergonomic' as I I had hoped.
4 stars because the keyboard works as it should. Minus 1 because there are things I don't like about it.I bought the wired version.Alt Codes:I have used other keyboards with a detached number pad and the alt codes worked, although those were Bluetooth with a single USB receiver. Here, because the numeric keypad is wired separately from the keyboard, pressing alt on the main keyboard + the alt code on the keypad has no result because they are not connected. It makes sense but I didn't think about it until I had it out of the box. Perixx responded to other buyer questions explaining this. Perixx responses did not differentiate between wired and wireless models, so it seems their explanation applies to either version. Makes sense because the wireless version has separate USB receivers.Ergonomics:This keyboard lacks some of the standard features of most ergonomic keyboards. The wrist rest is hard plastic instead of cushioned. The keys are oddly spaced out and quite compact. I realize this is a compact keyboard, but I guess I thought that was just because the number pad was detached.Odds and Ends:The number pad is curiously thick and clunky looking. Like a calculator from the eighties. There is no windows key.Anyway, I am typing this review on the keyboard to try it out. Thought I might change my mind after using it for a little bit of writing. Even though I am long-winded, I haven't changed my mind. Back into the box for a return after I hit submit.

Small footprint, but fits large hands
First impression: not the most perfect keyboard ever, but very good for the size and price point. My 12 year old MS 4000 still works like a champ, but is too wide for the pull out keyboard drawer in my desk. This keyboard fits in the drawer and leaves room for the mouse, too. The keys have a good feel when depressed. Ideally, I'd like them to be concave instead of flat. The right side Shift key is smaller than I'm used to, so my finger slips off it. I don't do a lot of numeric entry, so moving my hand to the separate 10 key pad when needed is fine.

Good for what it is, but has issues and quirks
I wanted a wired, compact, at least slightly ergonomic keyboard and mouse without an attached 10 key. So, this checked all the boxes for a reasonable price - I'm using it now. But, 2 months in, the left shift key has started sticking in the down position, I only notice because I'll suddenly be typing in all caps. @MO aaaand there it went... 2 months in and I'm still barely hitting some of the keys most of the time, they just aren't quite where your hands want them to be - most are fine, just a few. The Fn toggle also affects the delete key, but not the way most of us would want - if you have the FN features like volume control, then delete is insert. I had to go install powertools again and map insert to be delete and delete to be insert to make this work right. All in all, I'm going to keep using it, but I really wish it was just a tiny bit better.

Meh... get what you pay for I guess
When I pressed the first key on this keyboard my first thought was "ewww". Not a good feeling, felt very cheap, flimsy, and just... ick. I had been looking for a replacement for my last Microsoft Sculpt ergo keyboard, which was discontinued a while ago. The main draw for that was the detached number key pad (which I never use) so my mouse could be more ergonomically positioned on my desk. When I saw this I though, "finally!". But alas, I returned it immediately because the whole setup just felt so hollow, flimsy, and (I know I keep using this word) "cheap". Good on them for finally coming out with a board design with detached num key pad, but I wish they made a tighter, more solid version... I'd pay the extra. (Though not the hundreds that people charge on the second-hand market for stashes of Microsoft Sculpt keyboards these days...)
