I ordered two of these. One to keep cat food and the other to waterglass duck eggs. The glass is thick and it was extremely well packed. I knew what I was getting with the lids because I looked at all the other reviews. The ring to seal the lid is stiff plastic and I'm not sure how well it works as a seal. I might modify the lids myself but they are okay as they are, that's just me being finicky. They aren't as aesthetically pleasing as the containers but they are functional. For an extremely large glass container I am beyond happy with this purchase and I love the way they look in my kitchen.

I bought one of these during a sale and love it. I buy many items in bulk and like to move food items out of plastic to glass. This one is storing dried sliced apples. I will definitely buy more of these jars.

This glass is thick and the lid seals very well. I love the size of this jar. I'm getting away from plastic anything as food storage and while this is on the high side as far as price goes, it is worth it. I buy in bulk and this jar allows me to consolidate the food in greater volume. So far, sugar, flour, wheat berries, salt are the items that are stored in this jar and it takes up less space than multiple storage containers. I buy one every few months. Love them.

I just got this glass jar with an airtight metal lid, and while I’m really happy with its functionality, I noticed a few issues right off the bat. The jar itself is great—it’s spacious and the transparent glass is perfect for easily seeing what’s inside. The airtight seal is a huge plus since it’ll help keep everything fresh, whether I use it for pasta, snacks, or coffee. However, as soon as I unpacked it, I saw some scratches on the metal lid, which was a bit disappointing. I was hoping for a sleek, polished look, but the scratches make it feel a little less new. On top of that, there are small patches of rust forming on parts of the lid, which is surprising for something I just got. It’s not enough to affect how the lid functions, but it does make me concerned about how it’ll hold up in the long run. Despite these cosmetic flaws, the jar still serves its purpose really well, and the airtight seal works as expected. I’ll definitely use it, but I was hoping for a better presentation, especially for a brand-new item. Hopefully, the rust won’t spread, but it’s something I’ll keep an eye on.

heavy duty jar! I was impressed at how well-made it is and how well it was packaged; it is a little pricey but it was worth it to me; I use it to display my rock collection and it looks great sitting on the hearth by my fireplace!

Lid is poorly welded together and only slips on, not even remotely airtight. Was originally going to buy multiple, now ill never buy another.

I bought two of them and love how sturdy and spacious they are! They’re exactly what I needed in terms of size and build. However, the smell when I opened the package was overwhelming—I thought it was just from the packaging, but even after washing them and letting them air dry for two days, the odor lingered. I tried baking soda and vinegar, and I’m hoping that helps. If you’re sensitive to smells, just be aware that it may take some effort to get rid of it. Otherwise, the quality is great!

If you are like me and go from zero to baking obsessed, these storage jars are for you. They are huge, but so easy to clean. I joined the sourdough life. It sucked me in. My sourdough starter, Agatha appreciates that these glass storage jars hold 5 bags of flour. They are BEASTS! She will be fed well for a long time. The design is perfect. The lid is airtight, making it safe to house flour, rice, beans, and more. Clear glass that is thick enough to keep in tact if, like me, you tend to me a bit clumsy. No, I did not "drop" the jar, per say. It "thunked" pretty good. I may have gasped. But the sturdy glass prevailed. We live to bake another loaf of sourdough! Five stars all the way. Love it so much, I bought a second jar.
