Easy to use and catches more than other traps I had including the old wooden ones.

I had the white Tomcat brand traps previously and while they caught a few mice all of them (6 in total) stopped working after only 2 or 3 mice. The issues seems to be with the latch mechanism that actually latches too tightly after a few triggers meaning I am giving the local mice a free meal. These ones, however do not suffer from that problem and I have caught more mice with the these two than with all 6 of the others combined and they are still gong strong. Catch rate has gone down but I think I am winning the war since nothe bate is still there and the traps are still primed. If you have had disappointment before give these a try. Tip: I use chocolate chips and melt them with a lighter before sticking them on the trap so the mice can't just run off with them (did that too with the tomcats btw)

After only having these in my house for 30 minutes prior to writing this quick review, the trap has already caught one mouse. This was a sneaky mouse that was able to lick the bait off of traditional traps without tripping the(traditional) trap. So for that alone, this trap get four stars. The issue of the remaining star is that the kill was not instant. If the trap design is updated to resolve this issue, I'll update the review.

In a combined strategy with glue traps, these have been effective in ridding our house of mice in recent weeks. There was one case where we went away for a week and one of the traps was licked clean but not triggered. It was a mystery because all I did was breath on it and it snapped! I reloaded it with peanut butter and caught another mouse the next day. I don't know about easy cleaning, because these things are cheap enough that I just throw them out, dead mouse and all.
