The Flash: The Complete Third Season [Blu-ray]

+++Warning, this contains spoilers from the prior season, but no major season two spoilers+++Season three of The Flash has a lot going on. The season starts out with a variation of the "Flashpoint" storyline from the comics caused by Barry going back in time and saving his mother from Thawne. The fallout from that action really carries through the entire season. Then, about a third of the way into the season we get the big Arrowverse Crossover, Invasion, that involved Arrow, Flash, Supergirl (although Supergirl did not get a stand-alone crossover episode), and Legends. The big bad of the season ends up being yet another speedster, this time Savitar, who makes the team's life miserable for the entire season. And, of course, the show does mix in a bit of the case-of-the-week procedural episode, but those are definitely fewer than in prior seasons.For those who get the Blu-Ray set, the show looks and sounds great, as it has in the prior seasons. Most of the special effects are pretty seamless, however, when they show close-ups of Barry or Wally super speeding, you can definitely tell they are animated characters. The extras include ten different featurettes including one of the villains, the Gorilla City episode, a portion of the 2016 Comic-Con panel, deleted scenes, a gag reel, a conversation with the showrunner and director Kevin Smith (who directed one of the episodes), and a feature on the crossover event. Plus, the crossover episodes of the other shows are included so you do not have to swap out discs with the other shows (or even get the other shows' sets) to see the entire crossover storyline.The season is very good, even though the evil speedster storyline is a bit derivative of the Zoom and Reverse Flash storylines in the prior seasons. There are several additions to the cast this year, including Harry Potter's Tom Felton, Tobin Bell (from the Saw franchise), Violet Beanne, Jessica Camacho, and Danielle Nicolet. Some of the new cast members would have their roles expanded and some were only around for this season. The big crossover event was very good, but the mini-crossover with Supergirl which was a musical episode that allowed the vocal talents of some cast like Mellissa Benoist and Grant Gustin to be displayed was very good as well. So, if you are a fan of the Arrowverse shows, and especially The Flash, you will definitely want to watch this season.

SPOILERS!! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!! I love this show. It's my favorite show of all time and I've seen some good ones -- classic shows. X-Files, The Wire (yes, I said The Wire), Game of Thrones, Star Trek, The Next Generation, etc. I'm not saying this show is flawless, it does have it's flaws, but nothing beats The Flash teaming up with his Super Friends to beat the enemy. It's what I dreamed of watching my entire life. Season 1 is better than anything I've seen. That includes Batman Begins, The Darknight, The Darknight Rises, Man of Steel, Daredevil on Netflix, etc. Season 2, is not so good, but there are episodes, that were outstanding. Season 3 so far is ---- frustrating. Why oh why does Killer Frost have to wear that awful wig and lipstick? I hope in Season 4, Ronnie Raymond, Eaobard and Eddie come back as season regulars and the show goes back to Season 1 quality. EDIT -- I just want to add that the last episode, titled ABRA KADABRA was so good that I had to buy it before it comes out on Netflix. Why? So that I can watch it over and over again. It was riveting and reminded me of the greatness of Season 1.

I bought the last 2 seasons, can't wait till Oct 4, I will buy the 3rd one as well. This is written on Oct. 05, 2016, expect no spoilers, I won't even dare to spoil the first episode for you. You should see it yourself.Now, I can rate season 1 as 5 out of 5 stars. Season 2 as 8 stars out of 5 stars, but season 3, I was expecting double of awesomeness comparing to season 2, but after I finished watching only the first episode, I would rate it 20 out of 5 stars, I can say, by far, it's the most action episode in my life, and yes, today I could buy the whole season 3, so, I did it immediately just to see future seasons, 4, 5, 6 and so on.Guys, if I compare Batman V Superman with only the first episode, it won't even stand a chance. S3E1 is a must to see. I would strongly advise to purchase this season. I didn't just liked it, I loved it. I'll be waiting un-patiently for the rest of episodes.

THIS ONE HAS SAVITAR. one of the FASTEST Villians in the series and has the peak of the crisis. and the BEST CGI-FIGHTS in the SERIES (Savitar vs. barry, final fight)

アローはシーズン4からビミョーになってきてますがこちらはまだまだ昇り調子で面白いですね。シーズン2も面白かったですがこのシーズン3は更に面白くなってます。やはりこの作品の監督が大のフラッシュファン(オタク？)という事で制作への熱の入れ方が違うのかな(^^)アローみたいにシーズン4で失速しないで欲しいです。シーズン4も楽しみです(^^)
