This is an easy and informative tool to use if you want to find out what the safe distance is to stay away from high level EMF radiation. It's very reasonably priced and is worth every penny. It also measures temperature (press the button once to switch to Fahrenheit). I have tested the EMF radiation emissions coming from my cell phone, my regular house phones, laptop, modem and router, refrigerator, microwave oven, indoor fans, outdoor power lines, truck dashboard, etc. After using it, I will never park under a high voltage power line, I now stand all the way across the kitchen when using the microwave oven, and use an attached keyboard to my laptop after seeing how strong the EMF radiation is coming from these devices. I also use the speaker on the cell phone at a distance rather than to my ear for the same reason. Even refrigerators, radios and fans require you to be a short distance away if you want to stay out of range from their peak EMF radiation emissions. I also learned that cellphones are never off. Even if you remove the battery, whenever you move them, they emit a burst of radiation. That test blew me away.

My entire kitchen is engulfed with EMF, flashing "red" the screen on this device, when the microwave is running. Very revealing. Also, my alarm clock is pumping out tons of EMF, who would have thought? So now I will simply depend on my cell phone for alarm. The cell phone is not nearly as dangerous as my electric bed, especially when the "massage" feature is engaged. Great Product! It flashes "red" when levels become dangerous. Space heaters are safe 18" away or more. Very cool product.

This does the same thing the "MELLMETER", for Ghost hunting does, From Electro Magnetic Field detection and INSTANT temperature fluxuations too, for a fraction of the price, plus an audible alarm, with a nice red backlit L.C.D. readout. A great tool for detecting leaks in a microwave oven too.

I bought This to check out our purchase of EMF circular shields and this worked so inconsistently but this did not change at all once applied to the phone after the buttons so they are going back also. I really Want to know what and how much EMF is coming off of things in my home but this isn’t the one to figure that out with. It would beep red at random times when not near the phone but then placed on the phone it would not do anything. Bummer

Our old EMF detector broke. We like this one better. It seems to pick more up and gives us the temperature so we can see fluctuations. It's very reasonably priced compared to others as well.

I love that the display is easy to read. I got this for ghost hunting. and it does what other EMF meters do at a fraction of the price. It reads in Fahrenheit as well in Celsius. While I don't know how to fully use it I can see it will be useful. it can read small EMF changes. and bigger changes. You can change the alert detection from the default .40 on the smaller end in pico to adjust the sensitivity of when it beeps and displays red. you can also turn off the beeping, and get the Max and hold the current readings. all and all it is a good product.

Very nice, would have liked more info in the enclosed pamphlet. But it is enough to start and plenty of YouTube vid's online.

One shouldn't expect much from this cheap EMF meter. As the device has single-axis head, one needs to take measurements with different angles of approach. Its resolution is 1mG, and so most of the times, the readings will be just 0. Nevertheless, I can use it to find devices that emit high level EMF, and the safe distance.I have a light therapy lamp that need be placed close to the face to be effective; I was a bit concerned about exposure to EMF. Found that it's safe (<1 mG) even right on the surface. Among the devices tested, I found two PC monitors and a cordless phone base that emit high EMF level (10-70 mG) when touching the surface. So far the worst EMF emitter is the small microwave. In operation, the EMF measurement goes off the scale near the front face, while at 6-ft away it still registers 60-80 mG. Will test if the cordless phone handles are ok while in use and test the microwave for leakage. For this kind of use, It's worth its cost.

The only reason I only gave a 4 for the accuracy, is that as a novice with this type of equipment and understanding of the whole field of emfs, I don't know how to measure that aspect. I appreciated the seller assisting me with access to information on operation.

I like that it’s affordable. We’re looking at different homes and I bring this device with me to find potential dangers and so far it’s been giving me alarms near wifi routers, microwave ovens, hydro fields, cellphones, and electrical panels

Use it for temperature outside and readings around the home.

Honestly, I'm gonna use those device to ghost hunt. It tells the temp of the room which is such a bonus. But I did get some EMF's checking out some of my electronics in the house and thought it was very interesting.
