Works just fine.
This does just what it's supposed to do. The short version is that It's large, inexpensive, and works. It works great whether you're degassing epoxy for resin pours, or just letting your kids watch what happens to marshmallows in a vacuum chamber! Assembling it is pretty easy, you just screw in the air manifold, and attach the hose with clamps. The instructions on adding the oil are a little weird, but if you just follow the procedure, you'll get there just fine. The pump is a little noisy, but really not bad considering the power behind it. Leakage is minimal, certainly not enough for me to notice without leaving it for extended time. The pump takes mine down to 0.15-0.2 BAR, depending on what I've got inside of it, temperature, etc.. It also works quite quickly, and gets down to that level in around half a minute.

I wanted to find a problem with this unit, but for the price...
I poured in too much oil. The drain plug performed better than expected, no mess at all. I attached everything. They DID NOT include the instructions about the gasket seal for the steel tub, I am not sure your supposed to use it. I did. I fired it up and after a very quiet few minutes it reached 30 on the gauge. I closed the valve and put the pump away. Twenty four hours later it has dropped to 29 on the gauge. That is more than enough time for anything to cure. It works, as advertised, but for how long? Okay! SO I have had the chamber under vacuum for three days now. The gauge has dropped on one Hg in the first 24 hours and then stopped at 29Hg. I am calling top notch on the chamber. The pump is my concern. It took two thirds of a bottle to fill the pump. I pumped it down to 30Hg and the oil was at low level. That will be covered by the last 1/3 of the bottle. That's a lot of oil if I do 10 draws a week. Update: Day 14 - Chamber is at 28Hg. I am calling it good.

Mine works fine…at the moment
My vacuum pump works fine. A little slow but gets the job done. It does emit a fog of oil from the exhaust of the pump. Just to set the record straight, I have used lots of vacuum pumps, as a mechanic. They all emit a fog of oil from the pumps. Even my $2600 lab pump, does it. Ok, on to the vacuum pot. The pot is fine. The lid is a place of potential fast failure. It seals with a very soft and STICKY silicone gasket. If you don’t keep it clean. It will stop sealing. EVERYTHING sticks to the seal. This belongs in a clean room, not a shop. The lid weighs a good bit, there are not latches or any mechanical means to “tighten” the lid down. It depends on gravity and a very clean seal. Mine works, it does hold a vacuum, I suspect that dirt will eventually end up in the seal, and then it will be useless. Be warned, keep it immaculate.

Good unit to start a hobby
Easy setup and holding vacuum after 8 hours of test run. Dumped included bottle of oil to fill the pump before turning on, nice and quiet, some misting of oil but quickly disappeared. I was lucky and scored a open box for 2/3s the price, everything was new and unused. I'm going to use this for car oil changes through the district, youtube. Update: beginners mistake, don't open black valve under vacuum, it will suck all the oil out of the pump, clean up on aile six.

Great value
Works perfectly and is very powerful and quiet. Pulled a deep test vacuum in the vacuum pot and it has remained at the same vacuum pressure for over a week now. Zero leaks.

Supplied and web documentation inadequate, customer service chain slow and useless
Only JUST got the product working, no thanks to the documentation or customer service. I have not directly operated a vacuum pump before, nor ever worked with any kind of small engine other than replacing oil in a WELL DOCUMENTED place - but I have a strong engineering background in other fields. Box supplied 2 bottles of oil and documentation did show where the oil LEVEL was, but didn't tell you that it would need both bottles, nor WHERE TO PUT the oil. The cap labeled "Oil" was not obvious whether it was for adding oil, checking its quality etc. INCREDIBLY sparse documentation wouldn't say. I added a full bottle under the oil cap and the level indicator did not move. I Sent question to seller who wanted pictures (which is to say, didn't even at the question itself), and wanted to upload them through a third party. Web searches were fruitless as well. The closest I got was for a Vevor GAS vacuum pump with approximately the same form factor and seemed to have the oil intake in the same place. I added the second bottle to that place 80% sure it was the right place, and the oil line on the level system did indeed rise to the obvious level. I would certainly be returning the product if that had turned out to be the wrong place. The pictures of how to lay out the piping and valves were not clear, but I guess they provided something. Certainly they were keeping their language translation to a minimum. When I operated the pump for less than 10 seconds, the top of (what I now understand was) the air outtake popped off, along with the underlying air filter. I put the top back on but removed what was presumably a shipping cap and things seemed to work better except the air filter had popped out and I didn't see it. Not only was the air coming out smelly, the pump was overly loud. I saw the filter, put it back in, and it is now reasonably quiet and nowhere near as smelly. But now the inside of the oil indicator is covered with some kind of white particulate or bubbles making it unreadable. I am hoping that just letting the pump sit unused for a few hours will clear that up. I also had to figure out the valves on the piping to actually get a vacuum in the chamber. This was done more by "This must be so you can" and "there must be a way to" than finding useful information in the documentation. Good documentation written once prevents a lot of subsequent labor costs with customer service interaction. Companies should now that by now. If customer service is slow or cumbersome, buyers will be unhappy with the product, even if the product itself is not expensive and (eventually) works perfectly. I have not had enough run-time on it to even know if it works perfectly, as I am sitting here waiting to see if the oil level indicator ever becomes useful.

NO MORE BUBBLES
This vacuum chamber works great for getting rid of bubbles. It's easy to set up and easy to use. I love that it comes with the vacuum pump and the price is very reasonable.
