Mind Mapping shows you how to turn ideas into action—whether for work, school, or life—step by step and in every setting imaginable. Highly recommend. Review: Helped me create a blueprint of ALL the things I should be doing. - I'm so happy I found this book because it explains how to create a visual picture of what needs to be completed in the form of a Mind Map. I felt like I was having memory issues, I could not stay focused on any one thing. I purchased many books on organization, time mgmt, stopping procrastination, and a few other books which had pages after pages of mind maps without instructions. Once I read this book and all the details of how to use a mind map I can definitely say, I do not have memory or focus issues. I just have too many things I am trying to remember to complete. It showed me how to focus on each task or issue I am trying to complete. For example I'm trying to declutter my house and it is overwhelming to look at everything in my house and where to start. I start in my room and head to the closet to put things away and start tackling something in the closet. My mind wanders and jumps from one thought to the next. In this Digital age it seems many feel overwhelmed, unfocused and procrastinate. I feel like there isnt enough time for everything. This book may be helpful for the person who feels overwhelmed with too many things to do and cant get things done. Or if someone does not know where to start on a big project, such as a wedding, vacation, starting a business or any big Idea, this book teaches how to lay things out, so you can see the big picture all on one page. Once I quickly read this book and created a mind map by dumping everything I had on my mind in their proper place, I realized, OMG no wonder I am overwhelmed, I'm trying to do too many things, and organize too many things at the same time. I felt a sense of relief once everything was listed in an orderly way so that I can see the whole picture! Then when I choose what I want to do I know where to start. If I get sidetracked, I can go back and look at my Mind Map, to get back on the correct road to my goal, vision or To-Do list. I highly recommend getting the actual book (kindle is ok, but I get distracted on the internet by other books or other things), highlight the areas which are important to you, and feel the relief of order in your life. I hope it helps.

Helpful and well-structured
This book makes a great intro to organizing thoughts and boosting productivity. Good mix of visuals and explanation. Some examples felt basic, but overall it gave me useful tools.

best book on mind mapping
i love mind mapping been using it for years. I heard Kam on a podcast talking about it and was so impressed with his talk I bought his book. Having read so many books about mind mapping without doubt this is the best written on the topic. Most books didn't even have images which makes no sense as mind maps are visual so you have to see them to know how to make them. The ones that do have images either just use stock photos, are amateur quality or they're only a few of them. Kam includes so many images this was the first time I saw the full power what mind mapping could do and the explanations were good too. Most things I've heard about mind maps is you can use it for this or that but never shown how. Kam includes step by step wlak through with real life examples you will encounter. The chapters on the other mapping systems like flow charts, concept, and cognitive maps were eye opening. Good writing, good illustrations, good examples.

a bit overboard but worth it
From reading couple of Kam's other books, I can tell he's a sections guy. He likes to group chapters into sections which makes learning and remembering the material easier, and for me easier to write this review. Section one introduces the topic of the book, telling you what mind mapping is, how it looks, why it looks that way, benefits of using it, and a careful explanation on creating them with a full overview of the different elements. Section two teaches how to use mind maps for note taking. The author claims mind maps were "created for this exact purpose" and explains how to take notes within the realm of material you read like books and articles and materials yo hear and watch like lectures and presentations, guess it can be applied to videos too. He supplements them with examples so you can see how to take and organize notes into this type of diagram. Section three discusses other uses of mind mapping. Just because mind maps were created for note taking doesn't mean they are limited to taking notes. Since they are a "thinking tool" this section demonstrates how to research, brainstorm, write, plan, present, take exams, and even use mind maps in a group setting. He provides multiple examples, options, and walkthroughs and even how to combine the options to handle complex tasks and ideas. Section four changes direction and investigates mind map's "close relatives" the flow chart, concept map and cognitive map. These three are also visual digarams but look and function differently from mind maps, but he circles back on how to integrate them into mind maps to create the optimum diagram to organize and present even the most complicated thoughts, ideas, and processes. Section five returns to talking about mind maps but with respect to teaching and using them with children. If you have children it would be a great to use with them because children's brain naturally mimics mind maps and the exercises and recommendations in here can significantly impact their development, wish someone showed and taught me these exercises when I was young. If you don't have children, I found the chapters reduntant I mean it was good to see additional examples but you can skip them. The last section is much shorter conversing about mind map software and apps and providing more examples and uses cases. Overall a decent book with gobs of images and examples to make learning and organizing easier. Some of the examples go a little overboard and the paperback version in not in color but Kam does provide both links and pdf with color versions.

A mother's guide to clarity
As a mother juggling the roles of parent, teacher, planner, and occasional crisis manager, I am always looking for tools to bring order to the chaos. Kam Knight's Mind Mapping came into my life at just the right time-and I can honestly say it has transformed how I manage my family's busy life and how I support my children's learning. Mind mapping as Kam presents it goes beyond note-taking technique but a way of thinking that encourages clarity, creativity, and connection. I initially picked it up to help my 10-year-old son who was struggling to organize his school projects. But as I read through the chapters, I began using mind maps to meal plan, schedule weekly activities, and even talk through big feelings with my 7-year-old daughter. It felt so empowering not only for me but for my kids. They started creating their own mind maps to study, brainstorm birthday party ideas, and manage chores. It turned into a family habit that helps us communicate better and stay on the same page.

wow awesome technique
The book is great with very good day to day examples, author explains each use case in depth with examples on different areas where the technique can be used, at the end he lists the software as well which is cherry on top, he also provides all the mind maps for various examples covered in the book, idea is simple and easy to follow, I enjoyed the book from the beginning till the end

This book changes how you think and brings joy in responsiblity
Look, I am not the type to leave reviews. When I do, I am very satisfied. As I write, I am happy. Why? Well, after a quick book overview I decided to try it out with a to-do list. During the process I felt joy, happiness and was able to create a to-do lists as a simple map (symbols, pics, etc.) It’s like you’re brained being wired to be a child again, of course be a responsible one! Anyway, this book definitely will help organize abstract thoughts, accumulated info and so on. Best part about this book is it has a section on how to teach children that’s under 18 (toddlers to adolescents). I thought this was great!
