RAW AND REAL !!
About the book: This autobiography tells a story of the youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee in India, who selflessly fought for his country during the Kargil war in the D sector. The book covers everything that is from his childhood, adolescence, village life, and his fulfillment of long cherished dream, marriage and the Kargil war where Indian soldiers were fighting at 16,500 feet. The book has numerous tales from his upbringing which influenced his mindset and the way he led his life.My opinion: The book has very detailed information about everything related to the author, making it quite transparent. How his cultural life and childhood lessons molded him holds more space in the book. I felt proud reading this as we share the same background and reading terms like Uttar Pradesh, Bulandshahar, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Faridabad felt like reading about someone belonging to my own house. Finally, my search for a personality who shares the same birthday came to an end. I always dreamt of having someone who made history on 10th May and I found the one. This book isn’t only a number of pages rather a bag of emotions expressed by the author. I would strongly suggest this book to every reader and non-reader to know that warriors walk among us. Reading about a living hero is truly an honor itself and I’m delighted to read this piece written with such candor. It made me think about how mentally tough not only our warriors, but their families, must be. How they cope up with the loss. How do people keep finding their meaning in life in the midst of such chaos, where they are suddenly informed of the death of dear ones? How people go about their days in the hope of seeing their loved ones during their next visit. It all made me think where on the one end we feel proud to get the hold of a geographical location, on the other end their supreme sacrifices made me think about the loss. We are able to feel proud but at a heavy cost. It’s a small tribute we all can give to our Indian Army soldiers who laid their life in the line of duty for their Nation, is to educate ourselves on their acts of bravery. Jai Hind.

Very Inspiring read!
I was not afraid of death. All I prayed for now was to not die before winning back Tiger Hill."- excerpt from The Hero Of Tiger Hillby Capt. Yogendra Singh YadavThis book is about the inspiring story of Subedar Major Yogendra Singh Yadav, the youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee (India’s highest gallantry award ) at the age of 19 for his actions in the 1999 Kargil conflict. This book describes his journey from his childhood to joining army. I love how he portrayed the whole journey, from being a simple villager to fearless soldier. The way author described the details is just amazing. I felt pride Into my heart as I turned pages..one by one. I just fell in love with their determination. It is just so inspiring! It felt nice to know about real life stories. This story is real. The lives lost are real. The difficulties and obstacles endured by our soldiers are genuine. I had goosebumps while reading. I can't believe how he survived. I am just speechless. They have my respect! We tend to take our freedom for granted. We complaining about silly stuff ,all the while when there are valiant souls guarding us at the ‘wall’ who sometimes in remote areas lack of food and clothing. Please steal some moments from your life and must read this book. Must read for every indian :)🌻

amazing book
Autobiographies are the best teachers, one learns best from an individual's experience much more than one would experience himself. I always welcome the biographies of Army personnel and war hero's as they are precisely inspirational and have a deeper essence of life. The book is an autobiography of a veteran war hero Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav, who was awarded with Param Vir Chakra for sheer bravery within the needful circumstances. The read comprises his long journey from childhood to early days to joining the Indian Army and the very significant experience of Kargil Days; capturing Tololing and The Tiger Hills.Frankly speaking, the book has immense amount of experience thus jotted that one would be able to stand on his own post sensing the zeal and passion. I'm truly amazed by the writing and the learning part that deals more on things.Overall, I loved the book.
