Black plastic quick release plastic cymbal nuts
These quick release black plastic cymbal nuts seem to be all the rage, and these work very well. I will be purchasing more of these!

Makes setup and tear down faster. Looks great with my Blue Cympads.
I use these with Blue Cympads. They BOTH look great and they make set up and tear down faster. Another thing about about using wing nuts. They can sometimes "tighten down" on the felt or Cympad as you play. That will further dampen your cymbal sounds. This spring loaded lock will NOT do that so that your cymbal is secure and FREE to vibrate and resonate throughout.

Loved it
Really enjoyed the simplicity of getting these to hold down my cymbals.

Not the best but great for price
They are cheap but work pretty well sometimes fall off if not on enough threads but are great for price

Failed to grip
Updated rating. Seller contacted me and provided me partial refund and allowed me to keep them. That was pretty cool of them but not sure how to use these on any of my kits. Look great look and functional BUT! Every time I hit the cymbal even somewhat hard the lock nut moves up. They won't survive a live gig. It won't grip the threaded stud. I am using them on a set of Roland arms but have not tried them on my Tama hardware. Really was hoping they would work. I am also using them on a set of low volume cymbals which weigh much less than standard cymbals. Not sure if that would be would be worse or better. In my mind more mass on the cymbal would put more force on the lock nut. I could probably spend a ton of time and more money trying to figure out how to reduce the force on the lock nut but I bought them for speed setup and break down but that isn't going to work. I have already spent a couple of hours pondering the problem and attempting to fix but no luck so far. Time to move on.

Keep looking
Very low quality, threads are barely existent, they will pop off frequently and I’m not even an intense player

Great Product !
awesome! 1/2 the price of other Top brands, don't listen to other reviews. i play every weekend, not one of these has ever popped-off. If they pop-off then you're hitting your cymbals like a gorilla & you need your technique corrected. i play... rock, funk, pop, metal, etc. I'm using 18-20" crashes & a 22" ride.

These would be fine for cymbal stands with the smaller 6-7mm threads, but will not fit stands with 8mm threads.

Anything to get rid of wingnuts. The Aquarian cymbal springs were a great option but you can't get them anymore, and they clamp to the threads which isn't ideal. But this style is simple, secure, and so easy to pop on and off. The only problem was price. I picked up a bag of these and they work on all my stands including on top of an Aquarian spring where the top was lost. And if one of these gets lost or smashed, hey they're cheap. I just bought a second bag, they work.

These are a great option for drummers who wear cymbal clamps out quickly just because they're cheap but they aren't as good (don't hold as strongly) as name brand options.

Doesn't stay on very well

Works well, although need to grip somewhat hard to put on/take off. Stays put and doesn't seem to come flying off... although I am not the hardest hitter. Decent build quality, and good value for the price overall.
