A homage to Bob Ross and a good game.
I got interested on the game because I am a Bob Ross fan. After seeing it comes with 15x2 postcards of his paintings and a bit of research on reviews of the game I decided to buy it. I finally got to play with my daughter and we really liked it. It is just a set collection game, but wrapped with the theme of painting it works really nice. For instance, the color cards must be in your palette while the brush card must be in your hand. All cards have double use, by the way. Also the palettes have 2 separate areas so a bit of thinking goes into where to place your cards, as once you place the colors they will 'mix' and can not be separated. Although it seems it will take longtime to race along that track, the fact is that the game ends sooner than expected, which is usually a good sign. The chance cards have nice quotes from the man himself.

Lots of depth. A lot of fun. Quick and 2 player compatible.
This game has a lot of depth. Sure the instructions may SEEM lengthy. You need a little patience to grasp every metric of the game. Once you have learned how to play the game, it becomes really easy. It’s honestly a 20-30 min board game. A very different game from most other board games. I would say it’s a must have. Once one person has learned how to play the game, it takes no less than 5 minutes to teach somebody else. 2 people can easily have a lot of fun playing this game. Max says 4 but you can increase it manually if you want. This board game should win an award.

A great mix of strategy, easy play, and immersion in the theme
This is a really great game. It's competitive, but in a relatively friendly, Zen-like way; there's no "take that" other than taking the art supply that someone else wants or beating them to complete the painting (which usually forces them to waste actions cleaning their palette and starting over with new paint). Basically, you're trying to paint each feature before the other players OR BOB (yes, there's an adorable Bob Ross meeple) finishes this "round's" landscape, and there's a surprising (but not overly complex) amount of strategy involved in acquiring and applying the right paints and art supplies.

Enjoyable Game
Gave this as a gift. I found it fun to play. It took me 1 game play to realize the strategy. My daughters had figured it out right away, lol. Very easy to play. Great addition to game night. Game box says 12+. That’s probably correct. We all adults playing.

Fun family game
I'm not a Bob Ross fan, especially since he really wasn't a chill guy. But I like this game, which is now included in my regular game night rotation next to 10 Days in Europe, Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, Exploding Kittens, Camel Up, Uno, and Dominoes. Players try to win in Bob Ross: The Art of Chill by "painting" pictures displayed on a cute miniature easel. Player "paint" the many different pictures by choosing paint colors, brushes, and technique cards. Players earn points and progress around the game board based on the pictures they "paint" before Bob finishes "painting" his pictures. (The key is to collect technique cards before paint color cards.) The game goes quickly (30 minutes). The game pieces are creative and well made. Although it is rated for ages 12+, I know many 8 year olds who would enjoy this game. I deducted one star from my review for two reasons: First, Bob Ross The Art of Chill was fun, but not outrageously exceptional. I give most games 3 Stars. Maybe drinking wine while playing with my girlfriends might magically boost the rating to 5 Stars. Second, and more important, Bob Ross The Art of Chill only allows for 2-4 players, which means I can't invite my brother's family or two other couples to play. Extra playing pieces or an expansion pack would easily take care of this problem and boost the rating to 5 Stars.

Easy to learn, chill, entertaining- good game
Interesting game unlike others that I can think to compare it to.... It's a very "chill" game... A little bit slow moving but not cut-throat competitive like Risk or Cover your Assets. So you won't lose any friends playing this one. Also not too many rules so it's easy to learn or play with a new person who hasn't played before. Definitely like it and will play again.

Just gonna put his happy little review right here.
This game is super fun. Pretty easy to learn and has some interesting twists to the rules that make it interesting. We have played the game quite a few times, and each time someone comes up with a slightly different strategy to win. Once you learn the rules, it really goes pretty fast too, so it's a pretty good game to play with a handful of friends and just cruise through a few games on a Saturday night.
