This gadget was a lifesaver when I changed my kitchen cupboard hinges from exposed to hidden hinges. I would highly recommend using this. It was incredibly easy to use and I had flawless results.

I did installation of hinges without this tool before, and it was very difficult to position holes accurately and set a proper depth. This tool makes it a dream - very fast, accurate and free from mistakes. Accurate position and depth on plywood and particle boards. Pays for itself on a couple cabinets.

This is easily a five-star product with one slight addition to the design. The lack of screw hole pilot options is the only detractor. The one defined screw hole location isn't sufficient for many of the recessed hinges on the market. Add some additional pilot hole locations and you have a winner in every way. Still a very nice product and I would highly recommend it. I drilled dozens of holes in hard maple doors and the bit just kept digging. Durable and precise.

Let me start with a couple of dislikes. I still have a 5 star rating. 1) There is no manual or instructions. I could not find a YouTube instruction. Had to make a number of trials on scrap wood. 2) the centering point of the Bit has a very shallow angle. When using for a hardwood, it was taking too much effort to get the blade to bite. Solution was to pre drill the center. The Good: Quality very high for a cheap price. Three bearings kept the blade true. Once set up correctly, it saved me hours.

We used this kit to drill for hinges on over 20 melamine doors. The jig was easy to adjust and use. The forstner style bit worked very well and cut as cleanly on the last hole as it did on the first hole. A great value for the price.

Making "simple" cabinets for the garage. Yes, have learned A LOT!!! I'm using pine, so this works great for a soft wood like that, I have to say it works like a charm for the standard cabinet door hinges. It's adjustable for all dimensions. I just used it again tonight for the second set of doors. Worked great!
