ALEX DIY Sweetlings Sprinkle Shop Craft Kit

This can easily leave your child in tears when the whipped clay won't come out of the tube. I found it hard to squeeze the clay out of the yellow and aqua blue clay tubes. For some reason, the purple clay tube was ok and my daughter could squeeze it on her own.It is a bummer that the clay is difficult to use because this has an awesome work station. On the base is a disc that twirls the Sweetling plastic base around whilst you coat it with whipped clay. There is an arm that holds a pink plastic cupcake container that you place glitter in. Swing the arm over the rotating disc and twist the cupcake and glitter falls onto the Sweetling base. My daughter loved sprinkling the glitter onto the Sweetlings.You get three Sweetling bases: 2 cupcake shaped and 1 ice cream shaped. Also included is glitter, decorative stickers, plastic shapes, tweezers, 3 large whipped clay tubes, I small whipped clay tube, multi colored plastic round beads to use as sprinkles, 3 decorative frosting tips, and instructions. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. The only issue is that the clay is too hard and dry to work with. I have bought my daughter two other Sweetling kits and the clay was not as hard to work with as the clay in this kit.

This looked like an adorable little activity for a girl who loves to bake and loves glittery, colorful things. Unfortunately, we had to return this because the tubes of "frosting" (clay) was too difficult to push out and when it did come out, it kept getting jammed and really looked terrible and nothing like the photos. A HUGE disappointment for my daughter who had to return her birthday gift. We also purchased one of the mini cupcake decorating kits, also by ALEX DIY and we had the same issues; tubes getting clogged and bursting, frosting looking terrible. I will not purchase anything from the Sweetlings line again. Total waste of money.

My kids saw this on a YouTube video and were absolutely ecstatic when we ordered it. They wanted more, I’m just glad we started out with one. After trying for an hour my son walked off crying because he was that disappointed with it. The clay is SUPER hard to get out of the tubes. I thought maybe mushing it around before trying would help it warm or loosen up... nope. Also, it does not stick to the “cupcakes” very well as it shows in the pictures. The surface is super smooth and the clay just slides right off. My son ended up having to squirt it on his hand and smash it into the plastic. Let me tell you though... IT STICKS TO EVERYTHING ELSE THOUGH! Even after washing their clothes, I still see some of it on their shirts. Luckily I thought to put their play clothes on first.This definitely is an awesome concept but it severely needs a redesign.

Don’t waste your money, this was horrible to use, it won’t come out of the tube, my daughter received this for Christmas so we couldn’t return it by the time she opened it, I had to cut the tubes just for her to try to spread the stuff to use this at all,

Bought this for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. She saw it in the Amazon catalog and thought it looked fun. It is impossible to use. The clay doesn’t come out of the tubes. I had to do it for her and could barely squeeze any out. Not fun for kids to get something that’s hard for even an adult to use. She and I were both frustrated. Don’t waste your money!

This was a disaster. My kid was so happy to get it as a shelter-in-place surprise present and it was just one disappointment after another. The clay does not come out of the tubes, so I mom-gyvered a workaround using a medicine syringe. Once she was able to start getting the stuff out it wouldn’t even stick to the plastic cupcakes... it would just slide right off. What a waste of time and money.

It doesn't work. The "frosting" is impossible to squeeze out. It just makes little dots on the cupcakes. It doesn't work like it should.

This is the second one of these I purchased. The first one came and the spin feature wouldn’t work, even after trying multiple sets of batteries. Also the whipped clay was so thick and dry that it was impossible to squeeze out, also it did not stick to the cupcake characters. Awful product.

Bought for my 7 yr old niece. The cupcakes were fun to decorate, but once that is finished you just have a big clunky plastic thing to display pretend cupcakes on. I can picture them keeping this craft for a short time to display and then pitching it in the garbage 😔 It is definitely not worth the full retail price I saw at other stores.

Le "frosting" ne sort pas du tout avec seulement la force d'un enfant (même pour un adulte, il faut en mettre beaucoup). Ensuite on découvre qu'il ne colle pas sur le surface des "cupcakes". Trop d'effort et sans succès rendent l'expérience enfant très frustrante. En plus, j'ai découvert en lisant les lignes toute petites sur le tube que la pâte à modeler peut tâcher tissus et même le bois! À juger par l'odeur je doute même de la sécurité des enfants qui les manipulent. À éviter!

My daughter absolutely adores this product. A local store had hosted a testing for this product, my daughter was absolutely obsessed. Got 3 of these onsale to put away for parties. Arrived on time. Arrived in perfect condition. Would definitely recommend

All three tubes of icing and the small tube of whipped clay were dried up. Even my wife struggled to get little chunks of dried up clay to come out.We bought two sets. Both are like this.

Clay is too hard for for adult to squeeze out of the tube. Then it doesn't stick to the plastic. Very disappointing. Don't buy even on a reduced price
