These are outstanding. When I use a pick, I attack aggressively and these picks reduced the string noise perfectly. Tone was still a bit harsher/brighter than finger playing, but I prefer that. They take getting used to especially if you're like me and normally use a thinner pick, but I was comfortable after an hour or so of playing. They are durable. They soften over time as you'd expect. Bonus: they make it through the wash just fine, lol!

I bought these because as a guitarist I find it easier to play bass with a pick rather than my fingers. These help me get a softer sound. I've used felt picks before and most of them shed badly and lost hardness so quick that I was going through three or four during a short set. These have held up through three worship sets and I've not seen felt bits anywhere on my bass. I have to admit I'm impressed. I will be buying them again when I ware these out.

Thick enough that they don't lose their rigidity too quickly. Can really mellow out sharp pick attack of common plastic picks. Not as mellow as bare fingers, of course, but getting there. Useful for many other instruments than uke. I love these on my fretless bass with flatwound strings — punchier attack than fingerstyle, but still very mellow, whereas plastic picks make the fretless/flatwound combo sound almost as bright as a fretted/roundwounds setup. I also use them for oud as opposed to the more traditional horn or plastic plectrum. Sound great on nylon string or silk-and-steel string acoustics for a 50s/60s folk-revival tone, like early Joan Baez or Leonard Cohen.

Much cheaper than Dunlop, but at least for what I do with it (play bass) they wear noticably more quickly than the name brand. They are much cheaper, so may be about a wash in terms of hours you get of play per dollar, but plan to replace them fairly quickly.

As I hoped I play loud enough with these but don’t overpower other instruments at a campfire. I only play rhythm so if playing lead I suggest these for all non lead instrument accompanying

Not sure about durability but feel great right out of the package.

I've been looking for some nice compact felt picks for bass, but these really aren't the right choice for that low action sound. Outside of that use case I've still experienced fast wear on this product when using it on full nylon strings with a Ukulele.
