It works with Pixel 8 phone
My first wireless charging pad. What took me so long to try one. The charging pad is supposed to be laying flat against the phone. The question was if the silly bump in back of the Pixel 8 that encloses the lenses, officially named the "Camera Bar," would get in the way of a wireless charging pad. "I thought" the lumpy Camera Bar would render a wireless charging pad inoperative, which is why I delayed purchasing one. Happy to say, this charging pad works fine and easy with the Pixel 8. When the edge of the charging pad slides up to within 1 inch of the Camera Bar lump, the wireless charging kicks in. Keep sliding closer to the lump, nudge the edge of the charging pad comfortably right up against the lump, and it continues charging. So that's a 1 inch range that this charging pad will work, which means that placement is not critical to get it charging. In fact, I just pushed the edge of the charging pad up and over the lump (which is 1/8 inch high gap?), and it kept charging, even though most of the pad had space between it and the back of the phone. In fact, the Camera Bar makes it easier to position the charging pad into position. Just nudge the pad up against the bump. So, nothing can go wrong go wrong go wrong A USB test meter shows that using the wireless pad, the wattage into the phone is only slightly less than if the charging cable goes straight into the phone's USB port. For instance, using an old 5V 0.5 amp charger to charge the battery most gently, 3.4 watts go into the phone using the wireless charging pad. Connecting the USB cable direct to the phone's USB port, the wattage into the phone is 3.5 watts. So, a little loss using the charging pad, 3% less power using the charging pad, should equate into a charge taking a few extra minutes. Like, if charging the phone with a cable into its USB port would take an hour; using the charging pad would take it an hour and a few minutes. The USB port has a limited number of insertion cycles, so it's better to use the charging pad.

Simple, easy, works
This did everything I needed. I wanted a wireless charger for next to my bed, to save wear and tear on my USB-C port, and also not have to worry about trying to disconnect the cable whenever I get a call while I'm in bed. My first attempt, when I bought a different wireless charger was a disaster. The charger worked but it had a bright blue light which made it totally impractical to have near my bed while sleeping. This charger on the other hand, has only a very very tiny pinhole light; no significant issue with ambient light while sleeping. The pad doesn't come with a wall-wart. I just used my phone charger and plugged it into the USB-C port on the wireless charger. Works great. The pad is smaller than other wireless charging pads, but in my case it works well since it's only slightly larger than my phone, it makes it easy to center the phone on the charger in the dark. One thing I didn't mess around with was trying to Fast Wireless Charge. I charge overnight, so I always use the slowest setting in order to generate less heat and be easier on the battery. Rubber feet on the bottom prevent the charging pad from slipping, and a soft surface prevents the charging pad from scratching my phone case. The wireless charging pad has no problem charging through my phone case. Overall, this did everything I needed for a good price and feels like a high-quality product.

Works well, nice finish that is softer than a metal pad
I have an OLD phone that I keep for use as an alarm. It had reached the point where you pretty much had to keep it plugged in as it didn't hold a charge for long, which is fine as it's by my bed. Until it stopped fully charging, and even when plugged in would stop charging from the cord and then go dead. In a last ditch effort to limp this along a little longer, I got this pad. I liked that it has a "linen" cover, not just a metal pad. I had hopes that it would charge my old alarm clock more effectively, but wasn't holding my breath. But it worked. My phone (which was only charging to 80%, is now up to 100%. It is holding that charge better now, so I can leave it "unplugged" for a few minutes without it failing instantly or randomly. It's not too big, so it fits decently on my nightstand, and I do love the linen feel to the top, it makes it nice. It is also able to charge through the silicone cover I have on my phones (new and old), which is nice. Taking off one star because the cord it came with is SO SHORT that it's useless for anything--it's a C to C cable, that is maybe 2 inches. There is nowhere in my life that this cord would ever be adequate. Put in at least a 6 inch cord, or just leave it out and drop a $1 off the price. The second is because there is a GREEN light that emits to tell you it is charging. FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING PURE AND HOLY, STOP putting GREEN and BLUE and WHITE lights on things that go in bedrooms. You wonder why people don't sleep well--these lights aren't helping. If it was a red light, it would at least be less intrusive and harming to sleep. But no...you put a green light, and one that is hard to mask. It's not a lot of light, but it's enough that it illuminates my nightstand. So, one star off for those two design flaws. Otherwise, it's a great little charging pad. I'll likely buy another for work as it's so easy and helpful.

It was good before it died. Tried different cables and power outlets, so I'm sure it's the pad. It always sits in the same place so it wasn't damaged by anything I did. Very disappointing.

I have a few charging pads about the house and this is the first one I have received that the iPhone's screen lights up with a large bright charging ring to show you that it is charging and how much battery life is left. This must be a staple for actual iPhone brand chargers and I find that especially neat. The charge is also quick (quick demo, went from 85% to 92% in 17 minutes on an iPhone 14) and it picks up the phone quite well through a variety of different phones cases I own. It also doesn't take up much space and is pretty thin. Looks nice too. The only issue I have with it is that there is this little bright white light that comes out the side of it whenever I plop my phone on it, and where I have my bed positioned with the night stand (and where this little light is oriented on the charger) it is pointed right at my eyes as I try to sleep. It is handy to have to make sure that your phone is still connected to the device but can really be bothersome if I open my eyes for a second in the middle of the night and have that thing glaring at me. So I used some of the wife's nail polish to fix that. No problems now! So all in all, this is a great charger and will recommend it. Thank you for reading my review! 🙏
