These remotes work great for my community gates. can be 20-30 yards away and still open the gates.

As a security professional Ive used many remotes and can say most of the reviews here about short range can be solved by simply replacing the battery. I purchased 16 of these remotes to install at various customers houses and businesses and after replacing the batteries in all remotes only 4 out of the 16 I purchased worked. The receiver I was testing on was a 300htz multi code receiver which is exactly what is recommended.Not sure if the seller has multiple types of remotes with different frequencies and possibly shipped me the wrong stuff or that the remotes are simply faulty.

Product works great...however before you give up on programming this one...try reversing the code where the number should be on and it is actually off. For example if your code is 159... the 1 the 5 and the 9 should be in the on position. If it doesn’t work put only the 159 in the off position. This is how it works in my case.

These were purchased for a anxious customer who only has 1 remote for a family of 4. So everyone was disappointed when they watched expecting gate to open with new remotes, only to see all 4 not work. Tried old remote and it still works fine. Made me look dumb for a minute til they realized it was you, not me.

I needed 8 switch instead of 10. Was not well indicated on text of article :-(
