Working out well
Have only had a couple weeks, but it has gotten a lot of use. It is better for slightly heavier jobs. The large rubber grippers work very well. The amount of hand movement and work is slightly more than with the lightweight models. I have used it even to help with wet laundry. Your wrist strength and the hardware strength mean this is good for small to middling tasks, but it is surprising what they can do. I've exposed mine to a great deal of water, so we will see if that affects their life span. I would hope to get two or three years of use out of this. This length (32") works well for me. If it were longer, you could reach something but you could not LIFT it. And for household tasks, this is a good dimension.I don't quite get the idea of the moveable or flexible head. It does click from one direction to another, by hand, before you use it. That's all. A feature. Not a miracle. If the product falls apart fast, I'll be sure and update my post.

Best Design & Quality
I've used Unger's Nifty Nabbers at my work on a daily basis and have done so for years. I love these so much that I finally caved and bought one for my own home. It came in super handy after getting my total knee replacement! These are by far the most reliable, sturdy, and convenient of all reacher-grabber type devices I've used over the years.

Well-built, with great features!
The head pivots, locking at 90° intervals - handy for reaching into narrow spaces and allowing for storage flat against a wall (the rotating hanging loop at the top makes for easy hanging). The 5" span between the claws is wide enough to grab rolls of TP and paper towels I store on high cabinet shelves. The rubber claw tips provide non-slip grip, good for large items and also for retrieving dropped slips of paper, and they don't fall off - a frequent problem with the suction cups on cheaper grabbers. The tips are well-aligned, so picking up a pen or even a dropped pill is a breeze. The arms of the claws are curved, so that by rotating the head to a vertical position I can hook the handle of a bottle of dish or laundry soap on an upper shelf. The tiny magnet on one claw is great for picking up sewing pins, although the first time I used the Nifty Nabber to rescue a sock from behind the dryer, I had to rotate the magnetic claw away from the side of the dryer to keep it from clinging to the dryer. The trigger grip lacks a lock, but is so comfortable and easy to squeeze that it's not hard to hold the claws shut while lowering a retrieved item.I've tried 6 different brands of grabbers and these are by far the best. I have several - in the laundry room, kitchen, garage, car, even in my kayak. I've had them for a couple of years and have never had one break. They are light weight, but sturdy, and the plastic "arms" of the claws don't scratch things. They're great value at $20 - lots cheaper in the long run than the $9.99 cheapies with bendable shafts and suction cups that fall off.Note: I do use the heavier-duty Unger #92134 (with metal claw arms) to lift 150 oz. bottles of laundry detergent from high shelves in the garage, but the NT080 is a GREAT all around grabber.

This is a good single hand clasper for not too much money.
I have seen many of these type of clasper units in the hands of other folks I have cared for in the past. Each one of them had some serious weaknesses. Out of all them, this one offers several "things" that makes it a very good and handy device to aquire:1: Though it is made in China, it is actually made very well for the money.2: The claspers will not seriously "grip hard" any item: it is just not heavy duty enough for that so heavy items this may not do well.(None of them do that.)3: The two "tips of the jaws" have serrated rubber clasping edges to make it able to pick up and grab securely most anything that you get ahold of with it. (Even light single sheet papers on the carpetted floor.)4: The grip handle is a bit small, thin plastic, and not a good grip for a large handed person like me to use, but, it will do the job well enough even so.5: Just like what I have seen in every other clasper made, to do every function one might ever need, you may require the use of a couple other ones besides this one.(Other types of pickup tools like a magnetic end type of pick up tool, or a hooked claw type of clasper unit, etc.)6: If you sort of needed to have three to do everything, but can only afford to get one of them that does the most.... this one just might be the one single one you would pick after trying out all the others.I hope this helps you in making a choice. I bought this one for my wife to use after her hip surgery, and after getting it, I would pick it agian for her.Enjoy!

Very well thought out design - good quality
I need to have at least one of these in different rooms, so to be readily available. to pick things off the floor. Have tried almost all of the brands and this one of my favorites. I need to pick things off the floor and cant easily bend over, so they do no good if they fall flat on the floor, which they readily do if you try to lean them up against a wall or cabinet.. This designer has my intrests in mind because there are several ways to store this hanging up without having to provide something yourself. . Its best to hang these from a nail or hook and some dont even provide a way to do that easily (i've had to drill holes in the handles to accomodate a makeshift hook that doesnt work so well). This one has a loop and a hook to hang it two solid ways. That kind of intuitive design gives confidence in its lasting power. The jaws come together well and stay that way, unlike the more expensive models. This one has no deficiencies when compared to the rest. Has a pick-up magnet too. I'll buy a couple more, given how they cost $3+ less. The kicker is they're selling 2 of these for the price of one. Very good deal Search for it on amazon.
