This maybe only the second or third review I have ever written. Many times I have opted to just click on the correct number of stars and left it at that. There are a number of reasons my purchase of this product has prompted me to take the time to reflect on the quality of the entire purchasing experience. First off, the product. At the base of their description, they could be described as two acrylic coffee cups. Not much to get excited about in that description, but accurate on the most basic level. There is more than that to take into consideration when deciding on this purchase. The appearance is contemporary yet simple. It has complimented my choice of style and has garnered compliments already from guests on its inherently unique look and feel. Functionality is important to consider. You may just pass this over, as the functionality of a cup seems pretty obvious and apparent. This cup will allow you to brew fresh coffee or tea and keep it warm longer that an un-tempered ceramic cup. It will also remain cool to the touch, due to it being double walled. Another consideration of its functionality is the volume of the cup. I use this daily with a Keurig K-Cup and it takes two pods to fill this up. Not a flaw in its design, but a slight irritation when anticipating your coffee and having to wait through another brewing cycle if you would like the aesthetic pleasure of consuming a full cup! This may be a problem most will not even experience nor appreciate if you brew with a multi cup coffee machine. Again, not a design flaw, just a pet peeve effecting my personal experience based on the other equipment i use. That brings us to speed of shipping. I was impressed. It shipped almost immediately after I ordered it and was at the house a day and a half later! The compliment is directed towards the speed of the response of their shipping department to process and ship in a quite timely manner. Pain free experience, for my order! Appearance. Functionality. Delivery. This should finish the review and allow you the tools needed to decide on its value to you. That is not a correct assumption. There is another aspect to these transactions online that are either completely nonexistent or easy to overlook the value of. The relationship between the seller, the product and the end consumer. Sure, there are a number of automatically generated messages asking for your online critique of an item. Most of these, at least when it comes to me, fall on deaf ears. In my mind, identifying what product I want and exchanging money for it will usually entail the totality of my investment in the transaction. I received a quick, but warm letter of thanks and a statement outlining the sellers commitment to ensuring we consumers are provided with the value and service we expect. I know, boring and kind of boilerplate. I decided to send a very quick and considerate note about my pleasure with the product quality in the most general terms. My note was answered almost immediately by a real person who thanked me for the feedback. It could have been an automatic response, it it was well done and left me with the feeling that my purchase and my satisfaction were most certainly valued by the seller. Nice feeling, but not earth shattering. This was followed by a personalized follow up two days later coupled with the review request. It was the personal follow up over my purchase of a couple of cups that struck me. This was not a large order. There was nothing distinctive about my purchase whatsoever. My experience with this seller was important enough for The company to touch back with me again to ensure my pleasure with the entire process. This attitude, demonstrated by the seller, about the purchase experience of a very small transaction is what prompts this review. I can get a cup anywhere. My coffee will always be as hot as I allow it to be. I don’t believe I will ever be extremely concerned nor emotionally invested in the monetary value of any coffee cup I will ever use or purchase. It is the desire to make the online transaction personal and the pride shown not in the products that they sell, but in the relationships they will hopefully grow with their purchasers that stand out as a reason to draw your attention here. Not, necessarily to the product, but to the heart and desire for a quality and satisfying experience to even their smallest customers! Out in the real world, brand is an important selling point. More importantly, the ability to build a brand and stand out, online, amongst the other nameless and faceless purveyors of countless products available online, has proven to be impressive. Impressive enough for me to take almost an hour out of my day to recommend dealing with this business, wholeheartedly!

Updated Review: I have worked in customer facing roles for a 40+ years and I must say that this company provides unsurpassed customer service. Within a week of my original review I received replacement mugs with no questions asked! As important to me as the replacement, they enclosed a note that apologized for my poor experience and "humbly" requested that I update my review. This accounts for the 5 stars. Therefore, I would not hesitate to buy again and will also recommend to friends. I only hope that the replacement will hold up better than the first set. My sincere thanks to the company! Original Review: Let me first state that I really love the style of these mugs. While a bit pricey for everyday use, they were exactly what I was looking for in a mug. They are the perfect size and weight for my morning latte. The double wall insulation is an excellent feature that keeps the coffee hot, while the mug itself is cool to the touch. I have become quite attached and use the mug daily. Now for the bad news ... after only 4 months of use, one of the mugs cracked near the rim. I am very careful with these and only hand wash and dry. I don't ever put it in the microwave or anything like that. I live alone and have no idea what could have caused the crack. These are supposed to have a 1 year guarantee and I've reached out to the seller. Hopefully, they will replace the mug so I can update this rating.

Neat looking mugs! Borosilicate glass, double walled. Keeps the heat inside the glass; your hands won't got hot (I guess not good if you like the feel of a hot mug). Keeps my tea hot for a longer period of time than ordinary ceramic mugs. These were a replacement for another manufacturer's mug that I accidentally broke. So far, the mug performs well and as expected. I have had them now about 6 weeks. No problems. I haven't put them in the dishwasher, even though they say you can...I use them on a daily basis. I drink a lot of different teas and love to see the varied colors of the tea liquor in the glass. Love the curved shape...it's the primary reason I bought the mugs. Update 1/27/2020 I've had to order two new mugs. I had a set of two, but after quite some time, one of the originals got knocked against the side of the sink and cracked :-(. I'm using the second of my original order, but ordered two more to have on hand and for company. After considerable use; these mugs stand up. They keep the beverages (almost always hot tea) hot, yet are cool to the touch. The rim is smooth and nice to drink out of. As I said before, I love the shape (have had several compliments about the mugs) and the way the tea is suspended in the glass. It's always a pleasure to see the tea liquor, the color and density of the various teas. As long as you are careful, the glass should last a long time! Highly recommend.

I bought these mugs 2 years ago and used them almost daily for most of that time. PROs: - attractive and a great fit for a modern/contemporary style kitchen/dining; - keep drinks warm longer than regular cups and mugs. CONs: - not ideal for dishwashers — tea and black coffee is more or less fine, cocoa, milk, latte require handwashing for the mugs to become really clean; - the glass is not as durable as I would want it to be, in 2 years my mugs developed scratches from washing. While these mugs are perfectly functional, I am going to replace them since I am bothered by the scratches. They are not deep or compromising the integrity of the mug, but I am one of those people who wants glassware to look perfect.

These are very good mugs, just the right size for a large morning serving of coffee. It is easier to break then porcelain mugs, but we like the aesthetic and the fact that they are insulated, keeping your drink hot longer. My only complaints are the high price and the relatively short longevity, one mug like that serves us on average couple of years. Still we like them and keep buying them.

I had purchased 2 sets (4 cups) of the 13oz in October 2018 and as of today January 2023 these cups are still beautiful. 13oz has been the perfect amount for a hot or cold drink before needing a refill or before the temperature wanes. They have held hot drinks and the handle and sides have remained comfortable to touch. They have endured washing regularly via the dishwasher. I’ve have placed them with unfinished drinks in the refrigerator and I have placed them in the freeze for a quick iced latte. They have been in the microwave too. I am careful to be gentle when placing them down on hard surfaces or use coasters, I use silicone stirring spoons, and I do not jam them in next to hard items in the dishwasher. I think with common sense care of these borosilicate glass cups, they have lasted for me. I would purchase these again for their functionality and for their style.

I purchased this set of glass espresso cups (2 oz) to elevate my espresso drinking experience. The double wall insulated feature worked well but this is not special as all double wall insulated products are successful in insulating hot and cold beverages. The glass was clear (blemish free) and durable. Those are the only reasons you should be interested in this glass set. The cons: For a $16 set of glassware the cup craftsmanship is extremely poor. The handles do not smoothly meet the glass wall of the cup which creates a point of weakness between the handle and cup (I expect this will be the first place to break). Also, the internal volumes are slightly different from one another. While they both hold ~2oz don't expect to pour 2 ounces in each glass and have the liquid height line up from one glass to the other. The rim of each cup has one small area that's a "high" point on the rim. The rim is still smooth but awkward and aesthetically displeasing. If you're looking to purchase glass espresso cups to elevate your espresso drinking experience these would not be the cups I purchase. I would not gift these to anyone I know who enjoys espresso. And while I am not returning this product I will only be using it in the office where, if they get broken, I will not care.

Many companies claim to offer great customer service, but you only find out how great it really is when there is a problem. JoyJolt rose above and beyond after a recent problem. The glasses themselves are great, they do keep your beverages warmer, they are stylish, and are a nice conversation piece. We had a problem with one glass after only several uses, feeling helpless I left a poor review not knowing what else I could do. Thankfully, and much to my surprise, the vendor replaced the item without me even contacting them - talk about going above and beyond. In a day when disappointment has become the new standard when dealing with a problem, this experience was a glowing ray of sunshine on a rainy day. The kind folks at JoyJolt also included a little product catalog showing some of their other products, many of which look very nice. Knowing I can trust the company is incredibly valuable and I will absolutely purchase more JoyJolt products in the future.
