Doesn't look like much but it's great
This is an excellent product. I have 3 of these that I've bought over the years. These prevent saddle numbness from long-term sitting, are well balanced, and comfortable. I use one on a hard piano bench and can sit/play for many hours without any discomfort. I use another on a Herman Miller desk chair, and it does the same thing. I tried it on a dining chair, and it was just a bit long but still worked. (There's a smaller model.)I found many other seat cushions out there were designed for women and didn't relieve pressure where, as a man, I needed pressure relieved to avoid numbness. It was recommended to me by a concert pianist. This is not very portable, primarily due to weight. The dense gel support is heavy. I wouldn't move it more than room-to-room. (I think Gelpro has a smaller model with different, lighter filling.)It does fold, but the handle is awkward to use for any distance.

Very pleased
I bought this to put in my car's driver seat. I buy my cars new and drive them into the ground. I noticed that after a while, a normal car seat, or even a sofa, will have its cushioning deteriorate over time so that you sink down in it quite a bit compared to a new seat.I already had a throw on cushion. It was comfortable enough when sitting on it, but it had drawbacks. It was grey and 3" high in the back. Even with my car seat as low as I could get it, I could feel that the hair on my head was touching the roof of my '98 Mustang GT. I saw this new GSeat was about an inch lower - a big improvement. But the worst problem with my grey cushion was that it slid. When you exit your car, you twist your bottom so that the cushion is facing 45 degrees to the left. So when you re-enter the car you have to reposition the cushion, then place one hand between your legs to grasp the cushion so it wouldn't slide, and then sit down on it. This was a pain. Note that if the cushion I am complaining about were used on a regular seat, such as a wheelchair or a kitchen chair, or on bleachers at the ball part, it would be fine.Next I fretted much over which size GSeat Ultra to buy - the big one shown above or the smaller version. I got my tape measure out and measured again and again. The 18 inch width of the large size seemed mighty wide. However, I went with the big size and was delighted. It fit my Mustang bucket seat so well that you could swear it was custom made. Not only that, but the bucket seat design causes the cushion to be securely ensconced so that it doesn't slide at all!So everything was great - but some people can not leave well enough alone. I thought I had a way to make the cushion even more better! I had a spray can of KRYLON "Easy Tack on hand, which I sprayed on the bottom of the cushion. Note that "tacky" is not the same as, "sticky". After a couple of days of usage I see that the spray does improve the tack. but not by a whole lot. The spray didn't hurt my leather car seat. The amount of GSeat Ultra cushioning is fine.UPDATEI have just ordered a second one of these for my 2013 Honda Accord. I moved the one I have in my Mustang there to try it out in the Honda. It stays put perfectly - no sliding around. I realize that every time you exit your car, your butt creates a shearing force as you twist and after a while this shearing damages your car seat. Now the GSeat takes all the sharing force of getting in and out of the cars.

Helpful cushion
Cushion worked well. It keeps the pressure off my prostate which was needed due to a medical issue. Cushion is firm and has the middle channel to take pressure off prostate. I use it in the vehicle and is extremely effective. Only negative is you have to center it every time you enter the vehicle but is worth it.

Best thing I've ever bought for a herniated disc
I waited around 3 months to write this. I herniated L2 and have disc derangement of some kind at all lumbar levels to make a long story short. Sitting is very painful and riding in the car difficult. I live in the mountains and I have to commute 40-100+ miles round trip to go to school or pretty much anywhere. For years, I'd cut pieces of memory foam bed mattress toppers, cover then with pillow cases and haul those everywhere to pad what I sat on (which looks ridiculous and draws many stares which I've learned to ignore mostly). Still, the pain after sitting was terrible. Some days after a long car ride, I'd even be nauseous. When I got this I thought, well, it seems a little hard, not really squishy. (I have to have a deep, soft topper on my bed as laying down through the night also causes pain enough to keep me awake). Well, I've tried this pad and now use it everywhere. The tailbone cut out relieves pressure, and it's just sloped enough to align your spine. I put in on chairs, in our boat, the vehicles, wherever. It hasn't cured me of course, but now if I really overdo it sitting, the pain is much, much less, and I'm not necessarily a mess the next two days. Just make sure that the tailbone cutout is directly under you so you are sitting squared on the pad. I also recommend getting the largest one, unless you are truly a stick figure. This prevents the firm edges from lining up directly under, or near, your sciatic nerve which can aggravate that pain and also gives you a little room to wiggle around. Experiment, and you will know when you are aligned correctly. It folds up discretely and no one seems to notice me with it. I agree that the handle isn't thick enough to last, so I just carry it folded up under one arm. I also wish it wasn't so expensive but it has proved worth every penny. So far it seems to have "broken in" but isn't showing any sign of breaking down. A million thank yous to the person who thought of this!!!

Well made but quite hard
Very well made but extremely hard. I bought it primarily to sleep with because I had fractured my tailbone. Unfortunately it created more pain than without it. I'm sure I can't return it because I've used it for several days.
