US Made Wool Watch Cap - All-Weather Protection and Classic Style Beanie

Great hat. Very warm. Looks cool.

I liked it so much I bought the green one as well. It's very warm and fits my big, bald head well. For the price I can't imagine finding something better made from wool. It's a little itchy at first but after a wash it got better. Don't put it in the dryer though. I wanted a basic but warm beanie and that's what I got.

A lot higher quality than expected. Not itchy at well every comfortable and warm. Covers ears and back of neck without feeling super stretched.

This wool cap is a steal for the price, it’s warm even when it’s wet and it’s cheap. However, it didn’t quite stretch out as much as I’d like it too( I have a big head I guess) and it’s extremely uncomfortable for the first couple of wears. It’s wool of course so that’s to be expected. If you and a wool cap that won’t break the bank, this is it!

This is one of the best winter hats I have used. I’m a big believer in the properties of wool, and this is a good one. I have worn this working in sub 20 degree Fahrenheit temps while operating a bucket lift at 40ft in the air on windy days and my head stays warm, which helps keep the rest of my body warm. It also keeps my head at a more comfortable temp in a greater range of temperatures and helps my body regulate temp better.

So as for warmth/quality these are perfectly good, seem like legit surplus beanies and all that. Unfortunately only the olive one actually fits like I prefer (wider cable knits, not as tall of a hat). The black and navy ones I ordered after enjoying the olive one both are longer and have tighter cable knits and fit tighter overall. The olive one actually looks like the picture in the ad, the other two do not. They're still perfectly useful and if you like a beanie with some floppiness on the top or have a lot of hair to store you might prefer this, but for me they're not as good as the olive one (which I love!). Oh well.

Pretty big beanie that covers my whole head. It's warm, thick, and very comfortable. 9/10

Rothco and DoD tags were perfect. Material did not feel like my other DoD issue "100% Wool Watch Caps". Tested a loose thread, GI's call them "cables", using a lit match. Wool turns to ash, acrylic, because it is plastic, melts. The thread quickly transformed into a hard shiny lump. Busted!!! Rothco makes great stuff and I have/had lots of GI 100% wool watch caps. This is not their product. Check similar complaints.
