My grandson loves this. It is fun and educational. Sometimes you cannot get both at the same time!

I bought kits from two different companies for my daughter's birthday. I wanted to see if one had better quality than the other and was hoping that one of them might have some color inside. Both kits I bought were all white quartz inside. This kit had geodes that seemed to be easier to break in half, the other kit had a few geodes that were almost solid so they were a bit difficult to break. This kit also came with one larger geode, but both kits on average had fairly small geodes inside. The pictures I included are from this brand's kit. The two on the right of side are the largest geode in the pack broke in half, then a single half of another geode that I liked the results of. Some look like they just have sugar inside because the crystals are so small, while a few of them had more developed crystals. All in all it was a fun activity and I was happy with the results we got. I did find personally that after about 5 stones and getting the same results over and over again, it did become a little bit less exciting because you started feeling that you were just going to get the same result over and over again, so the thrill was gone. But we still really enjoyed seeing what was inside each of the geodes.

He had a blast smashing open the rocks and finding the crystals inside.

Bought as a gift for my nephew, the whole family had fun cracking these open. I wish there had been an option for larger geodes.

My nephew is super into rocks right now. He is 5 years old so this was the perfect gift! He ended up working on it with his dad for the supervision but if he was a little older would be great for him to play on his own.Super cool to see these open and reveal the crystals!

All were clear wish they would have had different colors. Of course grandson loves rocks and smashing things

Purchased this as a birthday gift for my nephew. We had such a black cracking them open. Great for teaching and discovery. He shares the crystals with everyone that comes by.

My grandkids go to the desert with their parents frequently. Well, there aren't many pretty rocks out there, so I was showing them the ones I have and now they are excited to look for them even if they aren't always pretty on the outside. They had so much fun opening them ,they are 4 and 6. Thanks

These were quite nice however was hoping for more coloured ones. Only clear ones.Super fast delivery though!
