Circuit Cubes Bright Lights STEM Toy Lego Compatible Electronic Building Blocks Construction Kit Ultra Bright LED Projects

This was a Christmas gift to my 6-11/12 year old grandson. He has been very creative with Legos for years, and to see his creations move and light up was a real treat. I thought they could have provided a few more parts for the price, but for what this is, it was a real hit.

First off I will say this kit doesn't seem like it comes with a lot for what you pay for it, but believe me when I say your child will get hours and hours of play from these few pieces. I got this for my 9-year-old who loves to build but doesn't do much to expand upon that. This is our first Circuit Cubes set and I already have the others in mind for his birthday. Everything in this set is everything you need to complete tons of activities, no additional pieces required. I love this because too often I am searching for something at home that is required but that is not the case for this set. Right out of the box, your child can start creating a ton of projects.The Getting Started manual contains directions for a ton of starter projects which can then be built upon with whatever your child can dream up. There are instructions for a Night Light, Lighthouse, Kaleidoscope, Handcrank Flashlight, Spinning Light Car - the possibilities are endless just with what is contained in the box. The instructions are all images going step by step on what to do.Once your child is ready they can easily snap on or around some LEGO pieces knowing that their LEGO creations will now move and/or light up! No batteries or cords required either, you just need to charge the Battery Cube via the included USB.I have a hard time finding STEM type toys that my son will actually continue to use and this one is one he has been so excited about. He only wishes for more pieces so he can have multiple creations going at one time. I am impressed with how easy it all is but that it is still engineering pieces such as a LED light, Motor and wires. It gives kids a great visual of what is inside their creations and how they work.

If you're looking for great educational toys that your kids will actually love, then you should definitely give Circuit Cubes Bright Lights a try. These cubes were an instant hit with my 11-year-old, 9-year-old, and 6-year-old (Although the kit is recommended for ages 8+, my 6-year-old was able to follow directions and build with these cubes.). My kids started fighting over the Bright Lights kit right away so I knew they must be good. :) Seriously, though, I had to set parameters and make the kids take turns after first taking the Bright Lights Circuit Cubes out of the box.The set itself includes a motor, battery, and LED cube along with other pieces that allowed my kids to create things like a flashlight, a lighthouse, night light, and much more. After they built the creations in the book, they were confident enough to try to make their own creations and they did with great success. They felt proud when they were able to make something that lights up and/or moved all on their own. As a mom, I think this is a pretty cool kit that gets your kids learning without them even realizing it because they're having so much fun.By the way, we've had this set for over 2 weeks now and my kids like to keep it in a place that's easily accessible so that they can just grab the kit (the set includes a small bag that the parts fit in for easy storing) and play with it throughout the day.

We are always on the look out for fun and educational toys and Circuit Cubes Bright Lights is the perfect combination of all of those things. Not only is the kit well construction and put together with everything clearly labeled but it gives you the flexibility to choose what project you want to do. You can make up to 10 projects with the items in the box but you can use what is int he box with LEGO or Mega Bloks you already have, giving you even more options. While the kit is meant for kids its a great introduction for older than the age on the box as well. We had a great time making the projects together!

With endless configurations, these kits can easily become a new healthy and creative hobby for everyone in the family and you can bet it will spark your imagination. It's ingenious simplicity, creating, utilizing only three circuit cubes makes it easy to use and assists in the development of children, while offering them a platform open up their minds and star creating. Be sure to collect it to increase the hours of fun with the family.

I wanted to love this and the kids were excited however the creators of this kit were either incredibly cheap or completely clueless of their customers. The kit only comes with one wheel and no axles or gears. Save your money and buy something else. If there is a manufacturer listening, please consider including a set of wheels and axles so you can at least build a car.

The media could not be loaded.  My 10-year-old son absolutely loves this kit. He is a massive LEGO fan/brick builder. He loved being able to easily follow the instructions while still being challenged. He also enjoyed building something on his own. Excellent STEM activities. As a nurse, I also love that this encourages fine and gross motor development. Definitely a worthy toy and great birthday gift ideas.
