Hard to put lid on
I have not yet used this for pressure cooking, but I wanted to get a review off quickly. I will amend the review if the function of this cooker requires it. It is definitely heavy stainless steel. The problem is the workmanship of the lid. It is difficult to get the lid onto the pot. I am afraid I will damage the seal, so I was extra careful when I tried to put it on. The reason for this review is the sticker on the pot. I have never had so much trouble removing a sticker! Rather than spend a few pennies more, the manufacturer decided that everyone who purchases this pressure cooker needs to spend 15 minutes of their time to get the sticker off. I don't like using goof off or goo gone on kitchen items. I tried to use very hot water. That got the paper off, but left the glue. I tried a delicate scrubbing sponge with the plastic scrubber on one side. That did nothing noticeable. I tried the regular scrubber-sponge. That managed to leave some tiny scuffs on the stainless steel, so it is no longer shiny; however, the vast majority of the glue remained. I then tried vinegar, which usually gets all kinds of marks and stains off of stainless steel. That was a waste of time and vinegar. Finally, I hit upon cooking oil. That, along with a bit of elbow grease, finally got the sticker residue off the pan. I deducted two stars for this. It is inexcusable for such a small thing that requires so much effort. The manufacturer should just buy better stickers that don't adhere like superglue on your fingers.
