Great idea, dangerous product!
I should have listened to the reviews!!! Only used these for the pups during whelping and before 24hrs past it cut through their shoulders leaving open bloody wounds lacerations on the throats and abrasions from the Velcro. I think there should be a higher course of action taken to make sure this item has warnings and cautions on every listing. I believe that if it was left on for a long period of time it would cause permanent damage to a newborn puppy. Highly disappointed.

Easy on.....too easy off.
I think the age old, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true" applies to these collars. As a breeder of Doberman puppies, we were looking for a simpler solution to the standard puppy collars. These seemed simple enough. Velcro is much easier to get on and off of our quickly growing boys and girls, but that is also the problem. This sticks to every blanket and dog bed in the kennel and pulls off of the puppy. We keep tons of data on our puppies, and it was difficult to tell who was who without color collars on each baby. Great in theory, not so great in execution.

Great for IDing puppies
These are great for the price. It comes with a variety of colors, 12 in total, no repeated colors. They are soft, completely adjustable since the whole thing is Velcro (no buckles or anything) you can make it any size you want, and the Velcro is relatively sticky/strong so they will hold well (i.e. not just fall off on their own). I will be using these to ID the different puppies in the litter we are having, so that I can keep track of their weight, growth, etc. without mixing up who is who.

Collars cut into puppy necks
This product was great when our puppies were first born. Once the pups started growing and the collars needed adjusting it became difficult to resize them. But the biggest reason I am writing the rare review is that the collars were stiff and cut into my puppie’s necks. As soon as we realized they had matching cuts on their lower necks/shoulders we took off the collars. Please be aware that this could happen to your precious little puppies too.

Get what you ask for
Velcro doesn’t stay sticky. Puppies the lose their baby hair fast and the Velcro becomes embedded with the hair which turns to not sticking.

Great
They are excellent for identifying my kittens. I cut them down to a smaller size and they are great. The Vet even commented on how nice they stayed on the kittens during their exam.

Works for younger puppies
I used these velcro collars on my puppies. They worked when they were really young (like 2 weeks). But after that the other puppies just pull them off. They are pretty cheaply made and get dirty very easily.

I wanted to like them!
I have used these several times and hoping they would work better. But now I'm done. They just don't stay on and mixing up puppies sometimes gives me quite a scare. I really wanted this to work. Such a good idea but something needs to be improved upon.
