I was looking to replace my old SM58 and I happen to look at this mic in a recording studio. Since I liked the vocal of that particular recording, I thought of giving it a shot ( I saw few YouTube videos comparing both SM58 and V7 ) and to my surprise, this mic out standing !! It doesn’t have the mud sound and the voice texture comes so clean that you fall in love with Vocals. The mic is sturdy and build quality is solid. I liked the fact that they have provided they have also provided little notches that prevents the mic from rolling over. This is also “ made in USA” whatever that means .. Simply put - the best mic I have so far had. Now on, I am going to stick to SE ..

Amazing sounding mic. Definitely better than most budget condensers. A lovely, full low end and beautiful, shimmering highs! Very silent too. I've had the Behringer c1 and Samson CO2 and this is incomparably better than those. Used it mainly for acoustic guitar. Came in perfect condition, fair enough price. If you are looking for a budget condenser mic within 15 k, I would suggest this, rather than those. This does however need some level of acoustic treatment. I experienced some phase cancellation due to sound bouncing off the tiled floor and ceiling. Using a carpet for the floor and something for the ceiling will make this sound full as it should. Otherwise it might sound a little thin. Also a preamp with a decent amount of gain is recommended as the output while not too low is a bit on the lower side, being a dynamic mic.

I have the sm58, pga mics for decades and some vocal dynamic mics too. I compared them side by side...and i can clearly tell you that this mic is studio ready. i have EQed it to an extreme, still it sounds warm n full. Its a great vocal Mic and true to the tone of your voice. Buy it with eyes closed. You will never regret it. Its a mic for life, if you are a true performer. Beware, if your singer is bad, then it has the power to tell you that too. Thats the magic of it. i hope every music nerds like me understood it.

This mic has a neutral-sound signature, and I love it! My vocals don't sound too bright nor does it sound too dark. Recordings using this mic are crystal clear without sounding piercing to one's ears nor does it sound muffled. As a reference, I am using the Focusrite Scarlett Solo Gen 3 audio interface with this. When talking with my teammates in gaming they say that I sound clearer than when I used the Blue Yeti. That is not to say that Blue Yeti is terrible, as that is a condenser mic that has 4 polar patterns, however, the sound quality and noise rejection are way better on this mic, making it suitable for my room as it is untreated. If you're looking for a great dynamic microphone, but your room is untreated like mine, this is a good choice. Its neutral sound, crystal clear quality and noise rejection (high gain before feedback) is impressive for a microphone at this price and you will not be disappointed. Many claim this to be better than the SM58. From my research, I do agree with that claim, however, this does not yet have a good track record in terms of durability compared to SM58, as this is still a new microphone. That is not to say that the build quality is terrible; the all-metal body and heft to it feels solid! Fun fact: Singers such as Billie Eilish and Justin Timberlake use this microphone. They're rich and could easily use more expensive microphones on stage, but decide to use this. That says a lot about this microphone!

Je cherchais un nouveau micro voix car j'étais lassé de mon SM58 et mon Beta 57. Je souhaitais plus de clarté et de richesse. Bien que le 58 soit une référence connue de tous et ayant fait largement ses preuves, j'avais envie de changements tout en restant sur un micro dynamique. Ça faisait un petit moment que j'avais repéré le V7 de SE. De plus, on le retrouve de plus en plus souvent sur scène. Facilement repérage avec son filtre antipop rouge. J'ai donc fini par en faire l'acquisition et il ne me quitte plus. Je le conseille très régulièrement à d'autres artistes que je rencontre tant j'en suis satisfait. Il est très bien équilibré, il n'a pas ce côté carton que peut avoir le 58 et parfois ne nécessite même pas d'équalisation particulière sur du live. Cela fait bientôt un ans que je l'ai il me semble et je n'ai rien à lui reprocher. Il est légèrement plus léger qu'un 58 et est livré avec une petite sacoche en tissus plus fine que chez Shure. Donc si on cherche la petite bête, on peut dire que la petite sacoche SE protège un peu moins que celle fournie chez Shure. En dehors de cela, je suis absolument ravi de ce micro et je regrette limite de ne pas y être passé plus vite !

Great microphone! This is now my main gigging mic, replacing my beta58. Sounds much better!
