Victorinox Dual Knife Sharpener
I’m very pleased with this Victorinox Dual Knife Sharpener. It’s compact, lightweight, and extremely easy to use, making it ideal for both home and travel. The dual sharpening system works well — the carbide side quickly restores a dull edge, while the ceramic side smooths and finishes the blade nicely. Build quality is excellent, as you’d expect from a Swiss-made Victorinox product. The sharpener feels sturdy in hand, and the non-slip base provides good stability during use. I especially like how portable it is; it fits easily into a drawer, toolbox, or even a backpack. It sharpens kitchen knives efficiently and brings them back to a noticeably sharp edge with minimal effort. While it’s not designed to replace professional sharpening for heavily damaged blades, it’s perfect for regular maintenance and everyday use. Overall, this is a reliable, well-made knife sharpener that does exactly what it promises. Great value for money and highly recommended for anyone wanting a quick, effective sharpening solution.

It’s a reasonably good sharpener
I bought this to go in my shoulder bag, to sharpen my Swiss Army knife. It’s certainly does that. I expect I will have to clean it regularly to remove some sharpener stone dust. But I do that with a much more expensive spyderco sharpener. I like it. It’s portable and get a blade back to a good edge. Plus, it’s not hugely expensive.

Compact, reliable, and ideal for quick edge touch-ups
I picked this up to keep my Swiss Army knife in good working shape, and it’s turned out to be one of those surprisingly handy little tools that earns its place in a pocket or kit. It’s compact enough to carry without noticing it, but sturdy enough that it doesn’t feel flimsy or gimmicky. What I like most is how quick and simple it is to use. For light maintenance and everyday touch-ups, it puts a clean, sharp edge back on the blade in no time. I don’t need to baby it, and I don’t need a table-sized sharpening stone - it’s very much a grab-and-go solution. The angle guides make it hard to get things wrong, which is great if (like me) you prefer convenience over perfect technique. It’s also well designed for outdoor use. The textured grip makes it easy to hold even with cold hands, and the materials feel durable enough to be thrown in a bag, glovebox, or camping kit without worrying about damage. Pros: - Compact, lightweight, and easy to carry - Very quick to use for everyday touch-ups - Gives a noticeably sharper edge with minimal effort - Durable, grippy design suitable for outdoor use Cons: - Best for maintenance sharpening, not for repairing very dull or damaged blades - No frills - but that’s kind of the appeal If you want a convenient, reliable sharpener to keep your Swiss Army knife performing at its best, this is a great little tool and good value for money. It’s not meant to replace a full sharpening setup, but for quick on-the-go edge care, it works brilliantly.

Easy to use. Read this first.
Absolutely brilliant. Very easy to use. Just ordered two more so I can keep one in the kitchen and one in my van. You can sharpen at work, in front of the telly, up a mountain, no messing with water or anything, you can use it anywhere without a bench. I've used it to great effect on Pen Knives, Pocket Knives, Kitchen Knives, Sushi Knives, Carving Knives, Hunting Knives, Cutlery Steel, Carbon Steel, Razor Steel, all no problem with excellent results. Few tips : It's not a Chef's Steel, don't try and use it like one. Here's the biggie NEVER USE IT WITH YOUR HAND IN FRONT OF THE BLADE. Sorry for shouting. Just flip the blade so the edge is away from you and hold the sharpener behind the blade. Pick your angle and sweep left and right like you're shading on a line with a pencil. Don't saw across the blade. Always run along the blade, left right, handle to tip. You don't need to do long full sweeps, just keep it even. Like this it's impossible to cut yourself or scratch the flat of the knife. As the edge apexes you'll start pushing a burr over the apex. Keep flipping sides and reducing pressure until the burr reduces to nothing. If you're not getting a good edge you are either not properly apexed yet or you're using too much pressure and knackering up the apex. The last sweeps should feel like warm butter with a feather pressure. Test the edge on a single sheet of paper, that'll show you where you need to do more work. Scrub deposits off the sharpener on cardboard or a roll of paper. If you want to polish or strop the edge afterwards use a leather belt for razor steel or leather with polishing compound on it for harder steels. Yes, you can do a faster better job with £300 worth of Japanese Whetstones, but come on, are you a Sushi Chef or do you just want your knives to work properly? 🤔😂 Anyway, this is much easier to use on smaller blades and doesn't make a mess.

surprised at how good this is
surprised at how well this works. Having had Victorinox knifes for over 50 years (carry one everyday) thought id give this a try,and was very glad of my purchase with the help of a light strop my knives are razor sharp, tied it on other knives Boker,CRKT among others and same result razor sharp after a quick strop. the only thing I can't use it on is my Moras' as they are scandi grind but anything with a 20 degree bevel its great, also worked on my kukri which has always been a pain to sharpen so I'm guessing it to has the same bevel. for the price this small pen like sharpener is one of the best out there and much quicker than using wet stones.

Great Quality.........but does it lack functionality.
The sharpener works fairly well, but your never going to get that razor edge. The stone is curved, which makes it hard to get the flat of the bevel at the right angle to preserve the blades edge. It worked fine on a small kitchen knife, and gave a reasonable edge and fairly good sharpness, but nowhere near as good as a flat wet whetstone and strop. Maybe i'm being too fussy, or I'm not using it correctly but i having tried to get that factory sharp edge on my victorinox Army Knives, it seems to come up just short. maybe its me, but the instructions are not existent, save for an unclear simple line diagram printed on the back, which doesn't even explain what the 2 functions are for. something tells me, I'm missing a trick as it is a Victorinox product, for which i have great admiration. The quality is flawless, but it's functionality is questionable. But I think I'm using it wrong, but can't find anywhere including you tube etc, that shows how to use it correctly. Shame as its compact and easily stowed, feels good in the hand, robust etc. Needs better instructions or a link to an official video tutorial.
