Great for immobilizing the neck
I have bulging discs with moderate to severe bilateral foramina narrowing in the C4/C5, C5/C6, C6/C7 and C7/T1. I use a cervical pillow to keep my cervical spine aligned. The pillow also has a traction side. It helps to an extent. Recently I started to experience neck spasms. When the area is inflamed, just moving my neck an inch to the left or right can trigger very strong spasms. The pain is unbearable. After my last flare-up, I decided to get a cervical neck brace to help immobilize the neck when I am experiencing spasms. I searched the web for a well made neck brace with a strong recommendation. I then came across this one on amazon. The construction is good. Well engineered. There is a knob in the back to adjust and tighten the circumference. There are side knobs to raise the neck and lock in place for traction. There is also an airbag located in the back of the brace that can be inflated with an included pump that attaches to a valve connected to the airbag. This helps fill the gaps to better immobilize the neck. Although, I wish the airbag was more effective. It doesn’t seem to fully close the gaps to give it a more snug fit. But it is better to have this airbag than to not have it. I will say that this has helped me immobilize my neck with my last spasm flare-up. Keeping my neck immobilized helped to not trigger less spasm. It gave me a break from spasms thus allowing the area to rest and become less inflamed. I recently found vitamin B6, B12 and magnesium helped relieve my spasms. So those are now my go to for relieving my spasms going forward. But the brace is a must have when immobilization of the neck is needed. As far as using this brace for the traction, I have used it for over four weeks, 1-2 a day for 15-20 minutes at a time while watching tv. It has helped me a little with decompressing and removing pressure between the cervical vertebrae. But I am not expecting a miracle here.

WORTH EVERY PENNY
Just had double neck fusion surgery . Was healing pretty good till I slept In that old blue hard collar. Now I'm in bad shape. Twisted my neck all up in my sleep because there garbage. Not like this one. Now the review... I've had it 15 mins and I've never written a review this quickly. I love it, so much more support. Makes the pain come a tiny bit but my necks been in a crappy brace provided by my doc and this one is straightened me up... love they the pump came precharged, and it's very comfortable...well worth the money, especially when possible being paralyzed if I mess the surgery up.. don't hesitate...buy it!! I will take my advertisement coupon now 🤣🤣

Neck traction device that works to stretch out the cervical
The cervical neck traction device really does work to stretch out the neck and cervical area of the body. It is a relatively bulky device to be wearing however it does straightens the cervical and neck areas for quick relief. The device is hard to adjust once you have it installed so make sure it is in the right position before using. What I like: 1. Straighten the neck to relief pressure 2. Improves posture 3. Easy to use Note: Device is hard to adjust after install

Works perfectly
This works perfectly for me. I did see an orthopedist and went to PT. After an evaluation by both it was determined that traction would benefit. It did during PT so I purchased this item. I also took it to PT for their opinion. They thought it was a great DIY method for home use. I can feel the benefits especially after a day in front of the computer. I’m 6’2” with a 16-17” neck. I can use the maximum setting after starting at lower ones. I extend for 1 minute then dial it down for 10 second pause and repeat. I tried 5 minutes the first time and now 10 minutes/day before bed. I sleep much better

OK for a committed person to use as added support, but it is not a substitute for a real therapist
Three out of five stars (really a 3.5 if Amazon allowed it). This cervical traction device can be useful for the right person, but you have to be willing to use it as intended. It’s not comfortable, even with the adjustments it offers to fit better. And this isn’t something meant to look good or make you feel stylish. It’s physical-therapy equipment designed to help your neck, not something you wear to look nice on Halloween. The electric air pump works, and the traction it provides is noticeable. The problem is the comfort level. Even when adjusted correctly, it is still not comfortable and puts pressure on spots that don’t feel great. If you expect a relaxing or pleasant experience, this is not it. For the price, and for a basic level of cervical relief, I could buy it again. But when it comes to real medical help or physical therapy, I would choose to see a trained therapist instead. This device is fine for mild, occasional support, not a replacement for professional care. Useful, functional, but not comfortable.

Didn’t work for me
Diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and bone spurs in C6 and C7. It functions as advertised, but I’m a tall man and having this brace fully stretched out did not help. The chin piece seemed too small and dug into my throat making it hard to breathe. It hurts my jaw more than helps my neck. It might help for some, but it didn’t work for me.

Huge upgrade over the 'neck pillow' versions
My spine doctor encouraged me to get one of those airplane neck pillow looking devices to help decompress my spine as we try to avoid ACDF surgery. And the neck pillow thing worked ok. Or at least it did until my new puppy found it and chewed through the tubing. To replace it I decided to take a chance on a much more elaborate (and 4 times more expensive) cervical neck traction device and it's worth every penny. The brace does a much better job of keeping my neck in the correct position and it's far easier to adjust how much this stretches my neck. The inflatable parts are mostly just to keep everything tight. The actual traction is managed through a couple of thumb controls on either side of the brace. Everything is very sturdy and the air pump control is ridiculously over engineered. Everyone's needs are different, but this has been a great help for my bulging and herniated neck discs. Obviously you need to speak to your doctor about this as it is heavy duty enough to legitimately hurt you if used incorrectly, but if your doctor suggests neck decompression, this is the cadillac of neck decompression devices.
