Recommended from a repeat purchaser.
Had purchased these items (wand lighters as well as smaller lighters) on a few occasions and they are sturdy, reliable and have a reassuring weighty feel that speaks to their rugged and superior construction. Do use decent quality fuel in them as the flame will burn cleaner and more reliably, and this helps maintain debris-free ignition and burners. Would recommend they are purchased from KitWizard as they are reputable sellers who, in the unlikely event of a malfunction, will offer helpful advice and good customer support to resolve issues.

The issue around refilling these lighters - SOLVED!!
I actually have 2 different models of turboflame lighters as the first one we purchased in the Lake District had the same refill issues as previous posters have covered and so thought this one maybe of a better quality and so refilling wouldn't be an issue. I will not cover the refilling issues, albeit to say I had exactly the same challenges with both models are per the other posters. I couldn't though fathom out why 2 different models had the exact same issues and have read reviews, forum posts the lot and no matter what I tried still the refilling issue wasn't resolved and the lighter wouldn't light. Trying every combination you could think of including the flame height settings, different fuels etc etc etc. I had the first one 5 months and hadn't successfully been able to refill it so it had set on the side unfilled and definitely like everyone else unloved and unwanted and cursing the cost amount paid out for what turned out to be a useless paperweight. I didn't deter and the finally after trying and trying and trying all different combinations I have cracked it and I am now able to refill both models and the work perfectly. Here is the sequence you have to follow when you refill the lighter and hopefully you will have the same success I have had. On going to refill the lighter follow these instructions 1. Turn lighter upside down 2. Get a ballpoint pen or similar tool and press on the inlet valve. 3. Express ALL gas and all AIR from the lighter until there is absolutely NO air inside and you can literally hear nothing at all coming out not even the slightest hiss from the chamber Get you butane/gas lighter fuel can and very closely follow these instructions as this seems to be the real key. 5. Refill the lighter as you normally do, but do this ONLY ONCE, do not under any circumstances 'pump' the refuel can a number of times to make sure you have got the gas you can into the chamber and so it is completely full. The chamber will be full after just once blast of gas. What seemingly you maybe doing is if you keep pumping the refuel can is it is introducing air into the chamber and causing the blockages that means the lighter wont light when you try it. 6. I can't stress enough the importance of just connecting the lighter refuel can to the inlet valve on the lighter once and once only. Do this in one single movement and then hopefully the lighter will work. As I say I had one model for 6 months that I couldn't get to refill and then purchased this model and had the exact same issues. I followed the instructions above to the letter and then both models worked perfectly after 6 months of losing my temper with both of them. I would of rated this lighter 1 star out of 5 like many others due to the refueling challenges, but now thankfully I have resolved them I will therefore rate it 5 stars out of 5.

It's very fun to play with and probably quite useful for camping etc. Casing seem to be made from good quality material, it comes empty because it can't be shipped with fuel in and the gas tank inside is quite small and doesn't last too long. The flame adjuster is kind of useless because it only ignites on the max setting. After you stop using it for anything more than 10 minutes the flame doesn't ignite. To fix this I turn the flame size adjuster from max to min to max again with a screw driver and it works fine.

Would I recommend, probably not.
I bought this lighter in good faith, I'd seen quite a few reviews some great, some mediocre so I took a punt. The lighter itself seems of quite a sturdy construction, it's also aesthetically pleasing. Easy to fill and easy to control flame output. It's not however, reliable. I purchased it to go in my bushcraft kit, now while I do have other means of lighting a fire, flint and steel and more of the like. It never hurts to have a modern back up for when time isnt on your side. When this piece of kit eventually chooses to work, theres no denying that its wind proof, the flame certainly is hot, very hot, infact it melted it's way through a pop can. Reliable? Not so much, an average of 11 clicks of the ignition to ignite the burners? Not really good enough. It's not even all that cheap a lighter. Will I keep it? Only because I cant be bothered to go through the hassle of returning it. Will j use it? I guess the answer to that would be as a last resort. At the end of the day, you want a product such as this to work, on demand not when its had chance to think about it and decided it's not got anything more important to do at that time.

"Also comes in black . . "
It was a nice surprise to find that my one was all black rather than the Black and Green one pictured. What to say? Well, it will not light unless the safety cap is raised, which is good. It is also quite compact and solid, it feels robust in your hand. This is not a cheapie lighter. It also has two 1300c flames, which is good if one breaks down while on top of a mountain. It has a little window at the bottom, so you can see how much liquid fuel you have left. Most importantly for me, it has a lanyard loop, so I have attached it to my keys as my E.D.C. Great solid item, for a bargain of a price. FIVE STARS.

Superb and well made- Quality product
Read a few negatives about this lighter on some of the reviews, my experience is one of total satisfaction, I think those who left negative reviews clearly did not read the instructions correctly. This is a high quality powerful lighter, well designed, robust and is very easy to maintain. Adjustable flame and easy to refuel and use. Yes it does go through gas quite quick however to light a cigarette is instant unlike conventional lighters. The powerful dual flame is instant and lights your cigarette instantly. So in real terms you use the the lighter for a much shorter time. Ignore the negativity and just follow the simple instructions before you use and you will not have any problems. It is not rocket science to set up and use, it is a rocket lighter!!! 5 stars and no complaints- excellent!!
