Braun Replacement Foil & Cutter Cassette - 32B, Series 3 - Black

Seems good. The comb in the middle is made from white plastic (the original was black) so it looks slightly different but still works fine. Your whiskers won't know the difference. I've not rated this item for longevity because I have no idea how long it will last - how could I? Actually seems a silly question to ask on a review for this type of product! The original that came fitted on the shaver lasted 7 years, so I'll be happy if the replacement lasts 5 years. TBH, these things seem very expensive for what they are, but I guess they have to be manufactured with high precision to very tight engineering tolerances to work as well as they do. One way to look at it is that spread over 7 years, it works out at about 1p per shave, so perhaps I should stop bitching about it. All makes and models seem roughly equally as expensive, so price certainly doesn't count against this product.

Relacement foils always seem to me to be disproportionately expensive when compared the price of a complete new shaver, but after finding what appears to be the genuine Braun item offered at a competitive price I purchased one of these replacement packs a few months ago and there was no discernible difference between this one and the original one. My rechargeable shaver still works fine, although the battery life seems to get getting shorter as its quite old now, so next time around when the battery finally dies, I'll probably replace the whole shaver and keep this foil as a spare.

The original blade has not been cutting well for a while . I finally gave in having got 10 months from the original. The new one is brilliant. But for how long ?? What a pity that the replacement cost represents more than 50% of the whole razor. I fear we are getting into the realms of printers v consumables. One would think the Germans could do better.

The difference between the old, worn out head and the replacement is stunning. I now have a closer, complete shave in less than half the time. I was thinking I was going to have to buy a new razor and was reluctant to pay the high price of the Series 3 32B head. However, it is worth every penny. And more so if it lasts the suggested 18 months after which I should have changed the old head. In future I will look out for the little orange light telling me to replace the head rather than suffering months of poor shaves.

Foil is top quality and meets all my requirements.

To be renewed at least every 18 months says manufacturer. Who counts and remembers that? Well, when shaving takes longer (and longer) and is not effective you should "get the message" I must have mowed the equivalent of at least two full sized football pitches! BUT Amazon enabled me to track down the actual replacement I needed (from the many on offer , which may not be exactly right) and Hey presto! Shaving time reduced by 70% and as smooth as a baby. Note made in diary Braun Series 3 340s-4 Rechargeable Wet & Dry Foil Electric Shaver to repeat in 15 months!

Like other reviewers I am surprised that it takes so much time to locate the correct foil and cutter cassette for a particular Braun shaver, and that they cost so much, but I suppose this is where they make their money, not unlike printer manufacturers who make their money on cartridges. This one seems to be an exact replacement for the original and has the same faults. For example, it has to be removed with care from the shaver body when cleaning or you can easily find some of the vibrators and springs in the shaver body, or one of the cutters themselves, popping out and ending up on the floor. I find running the head under hot water and then pulling firmly on each side works. On the plus side it does cut as well as the original and is cheaper than buying one from Braun.

Der Hersteller hatte angegeben, daß der Scherkopf meines BRAUN-320-Rasierers nach anderthalb Jahren gewechselt werden sollte. Und tatsächlich war er nach dieser Zeit verschlissen, das Scherblech begann auszubrechen. Der neue Scherkopf paßt exakt auf den Rasierer und nach meinem Empfinden rasiert er sogar besser, als das ursprüngliche Original. Vielleicht hat BRAUN auf Kritiken in der Vergangenheit reagiert, denn die Rasierleistung wurde vielmals bemängelt. Es war also gut, daß ich mir keinen anderen Rasierer gekauft habe (was ich in Erwägung gezogen hatte), sondern nur das Ersatzteil "Scherkopf". Allerdigs: der Preis dafür ist reichlich hoch, aber das scheint bei Original-Ersatzteilen wohl ein unumstößliches Gesetz zu sein.

Ho acquistato il Braun 32B originale per lamina e blocco coltelli, e la differenza si nota subito. La qualità dei materiali è superiore rispetto a tutte le alternative compatibili che avevo acquistato: il taglio resta preciso e confortevole anche dopo mesi di utilizzo. Certo, costa qualcosa in più, ma è un investimento che si ripaga nel tempo perché dura anni senza perdere efficienza. Meglio spendere un po’ di più per un prodotto originale che garantisce prestazioni costanti, piuttosto che risparmiare e dover sostituire il ricambio molto più spesso, ottimo !

So my Braun shaver was not really shaving all that well anymore, typical of when the shaving blades get worn. It's normal, so no big deal. But the extra time going over and over and over was annoying. So, thinking I would save myself a few bucks, I purchased what I thought was a genuine Braun replacement shaver head on an online auction site. When it arrived, it looked alright, just as expected. It popped onto my shaver just fine too but when I went to shave, the first thing that happened was the head pulled a whisker! Yoww! (If you know, you know) Then I tried to use the 'heavy' function where the one blade drops down a bit to expose the inner cutting bar. Well, the head would not drop down! I flipped the head around and it still wouldn't work. The red flags were going up now. Yep. I got ripped off by a fake razor head! Braun take note!! Anyway, I ordered a new one - a genuine, genuine one - from Amazon, and yes, it cost more but the difference was noticeable immediately! Fast, smooth shave. No pulling, the 'heavy' setting worked as it should, and it even sounded better. So, lesson learned. Buy from a trusted source and spend the money! Your face will thank you.
