I've seen a few youtube videos and read a few books. This is concise and really helpful.

Overall a good book, covers wide range of sailing plans etc. There are tow key omissions in my book. First there is no mention of self tacking jibs, which (after some experience) have their uses but there are some downsides. The main missing item (as with all other books) no mention of how too reef under power. In some conditions it can be unsafe to turn into wind too reef as normal. This happened to me when the sea came up unexpectantly. There was not was to safely turn to wind while on a run. Fortunately I had already figured out my cars can be used under power. It was tricky but it worked ok.

The best book I've bought about getting the best performance from your sailing boat. Clear, well laid out. Easy to understand for a relative novice like me. Essential reading.

Very happy with this book. Clear text and diagrams help to explain concepts. My 14 year old daughter has also been reading it and has surprised me with what she has picked up from the book.

I looked for something readable on this subject for quite some time; very little decent material on the internet. The book is concise but clear and useful.

Well crafted book with lots of diagrams and concise explanations. It gets right to the point, illustrates it, explains it and moves on to the next topic. No longwinded descriptions here! Thanks to that and its compact sIze, it can be used as an onboard reference. You won't be sorry.

Ottimo acquisto. Consigliato a chi ha una padronanza sufficiente dell'inglese e un po di esperienza in vela. Non assegno la quanta stella perche avrei volute un maggiore approfondimento in generale.
