Its what you make it
I've grown up with Star wars and am in the midst of playing the online version so thought I'd get this as well seeing as I was going through a star wars phase. To be honest I'm really enjoying it, yes you can spend your time waving your arm around as if you don't care and yes I agree it has the same effect as if you really go for it. One reviewer said it was like Marmite and I have to agree your going to either love it or hate it.It has some really good features, one guy said about the dancing. Ok this is not to be taken seriously, its for fun. The songs are based on songs already released...most notably Princess in a Battle, Blasterproof, I'm Han Solo and hologram Girl..think about it you'll get it.My Wife hates the game but the dancing soon had her off the sofa and strutting her stuff and me chuckling at the re-written lyrics and they sound like the original artists too (probably aren't but there good covers). In short, the game in my opinion is alot of fun, I'll play it to the end and probably then some, I get a good work out on it as I throw myself into the battles. My best advice try it at a friends if your not sure but I do recommend getting it for the fun value (if your a Star Wars mega fan your best off with the movies cause your never going to be happy until your actually weilding that lightsaber are you?)

Short and Easy
The game is good, at least that's what my 8 year old son said, he bought this from his pocket money, he had been waiting since the first glimpses of the game appeared. He did enjoy it but the problem is simply that the game is over far to quickly, is far to easy and just as importantly, for a title that he had been waiting so long for he hasn't picked it up again since so there doesn't appear to be any replay value in it.I felt guilty as, although reduced to £27 it was still a lot of money for maybe, a weekend and a couple of evenings playing time.I read other reviews that talked about the lightsaber not really going where you expect and not following your moves, this didn't bother him at all, he swung, the lightsaber swung. I would also suggest that some of the movement controls are not the best, for example, instead of performing the move that should have you shooting forward at great speed but often didn't pick up what he was doing he instead just jumped everywhere as that includes some forward movement. This has all the StarWars images you expect but could really of been any on rails slash and shoot.I think this game is good for the younger players but doesn't offer that much for the older generation and don't expect to get a lot of playing time out of it.

Excellent , physical game...
Reviewing these games is difficult, especially for someone like me, who is a huge fan of the Star Wars universe. I will try to be as objective as possible.I really liked this game, although initially, I thought the training was pretty annoying. However, it is a minor quibble in what is otherwise, a truly well-put together adventure. The Kinect sensor (and your body!) is put to great effect as you jump, duck, swing your sabre, twist, turn and lean this way and that on your quest to win. Great stuff. We also enjoyed the extras, especially the Rampage, where I could be a troll (for more hours than normal!), as well as the dancing sub-games. The lyrics were hilarious and had us all in stitches.A real gem. Recommended.

great exercise for the young 'uns
A review from someone who knows very little about gaming but has just bought an Xbox for the family and has just watched his son getting lots of exercise. If you have a child who loves Star Wars, this game will motivate them into having a real workout. The CGI graphics and the sound are great. There is a new, simple storyline and the interactive bits of the game are not at all mentally challenging. In, say, the Lego games you have to work out a puzzle to progress, but in this game you just mostly fight with loads of battle droids. This involves lots of moving about, swinging of arms and jumping and not much skill. Think Kinect Adventures with light sabres. The Kinect controller isn't as highly an accurate method of controlling a game as a hand held controller. Judging by other reviews, some people expect it to do a lot more than its capability. If you accept it for what it is and realise that you are not using fine motor skills but full body movements this is great for some fun indoor exercise for the kids. My son needed a shower afterwards and he loved playing it. I would have loved it back in 1977 when Star Wars came out and I was of an age to get lost in the story.Like the Star Wars films, it is a game for children and teenagers who love that story. I haven't seen anything yet that warrants the 12 certificate, and I am quite particular about what I let my kids see and do. I would be happy for a 10 year old to play this. The Amazon price was the best I could find online.

Absolute Bargain
I bought this game for my children to play, and have to say, we have all been playing it constantly. It keeps them amused for hours, and they are really enjoying the challenges they have to undertake in order to obtain the achievements. Even my daughter loves this game, and she has been very reluctant to play x box games in the past. What I would say is that you need a bit more space for this game than the other kinect games, as you really do have to throw yourself around. Great exercise, and great fun, with crystal clear action sounds. Buy it! You know you want to!

Disappointing
This is a game for under 12's -so its a shame about the 12 rating. Its all a bit unresponsive and repetitive and incredibly short. However my son loves it - jumping madly round swinging his arms about and I hate playing it as it's frankly rubbish.Very disappointing, the developers should be ashamed
